Maybe your a homer?
Anyways, I would also pick Sasha his defense is stifling. Kapono's is sometimes non-existant.

Sasha is a pretty nice piece, he can do a lot of things you want from a role player. Kapono is a bad ass shooter, but I'll take Sasha.

Sasha's awesome "hustle" defence. Indeed.
Lakers D with Sasha on the court: 112.3 points per 100 possessions against.
Lakers D with him on the bench: 103.6 points per 100 possessions against.
That is a whopping 8.7 point difference, which is huge.
On top of that, 4 of their 5 worst defensive 5 man units include him.
You'd think the Lakers would be better defensively with such a stifling defender on the court, and not massively worse.

9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

Tell Sasha to take that thong off his head and go back to the D-league. Kapono is by far the better choice. You guys are fools to think that Lamar, Gasol and Kobe aren't the sole reasons why Sasha is even remotely useful on that team. They draw the D, Sasha gets an open look. I wonder if Kapono could do that? Gimme a break. If Kapono and Sasha traded teams we wouldn't be having this discussion. Thanks for coming out.

the spurs better find john connor.
Warspite:
Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

Yeah, after thinking it over, I could probably be swayed either way. I think if I were building a team, and needed a role player, I would take Kapono though, because I would have a monster in the paint, and Kapono would just snipe from the 3 point line for like 75%.

Defensive stats like that are worthless. At least you didn't use that silly opponent PER stat.
If you watch him play you can tell he is a pretty good defender. He's not a shutdown guy by any means, but he pulls his own on defense.

His "career year" consists of 9 points 1 assist and 2 rebounds while shooting 45%, quite impressive if you ask me
