First of all, I want to say that the Spurs had a terrific season, great to have everyone come out and show that they still had it during these stages of their lives. Now as we all know, the Spurs are the oldest team in the league, that's a given. The younger, fresher legs dehumanized us essentially this series and it took us 7 games to beat the Hornets.
I don't want any more of these Barrys, Finelys, or Oberto's coming around, even if they are at a very cheap price. We need long, young, athletic players to run up and down and actually jump for rebounds.
Must Go:
Michael Finely
Jaque Voghn
Robert Horry
Brent Barry
Fabricio Oberto
Kurt Tomas
^ All that is a majority of our older age anyway, all those players are 33+, and it is time for them to say goodbye.
*I think we MUST sign Duhon somewhere between a 2-3 year contract, he's young, quick, and can develop a nice jump shot, and is very young as well.
*Secondly, i want the FULL MLE to go to Sasha, yes Sasha. Some say he isn't worth it, but with that VERY YOUNG AGE of 23, with that jump shot, he is instantly our Bowen replacement, with a much higher shooting percentage.
*Bring over IAN as Duncan's backup, young, fresh, inexperience however, but may provide us that energy that we lack.
* The center situation is very difficult, I would love for Splitter to come along next year as well as somehow sign EDDY CURRY, yes EDDY CURRY. Young, legit, BIG 7 footer that needs help to learn, Duncan/Pop will do so.. The obertos in this league can not guard the upcoming Bynums and Howards, we NEED SIZE.
* I don't know about you guys, but i'd love to package out Manu with all our expiring picks to a team that has an all-star such as Denver for CARMELO or Joe Smith or someone along those lines..
Just my two cents guys, non will probably happen cause for some reason the Spurs will probably still have the oldest team in the league, but i REALLY want to see Duncan get his 5th ring and the only way to do so is by having the above procedures take place..
BTW, who are you guys rooting for in the finals? Detroit for me!
Good Season

I want Detroit to win it. Im not a fan of the New York Yankee championship method.
I'm not a fan of Curry, never liked him. He has no work ethic, never made it to voluntary workouts when he was with the Bulls. And, you were joking when you mentioned trading Manu for Joe Smith? Or, did you mean Josh?

that's just not realistic at all.
You could probably sign Duhon for a small deal with LLE.
Signing Sasha Vujajic to MLE is gonna be bad for us because we'll be extremely weak upfront. Kurt Thomas, Robert Horry, and Fabricio Oberto really aren't starting material anymore. If anything, we should spend our MLE to upgrade our frontcourt instead of our backcourt.
Eddy Curry has a near max contract and the only way to get him here is via trade and that means we'll need to send either Parker, Gino, or Duncan in order to get Eddy. Who's on board? I know I'm not.
Lastly, I don't think the Spurs will let go Barry. He signed a 2 year deal at minimum and he was still productive in the Lakers series. If Pop can't find a sparkplug type backup, I believe he's gonna continue playing Manu off the bench and I truly doubt the Spurs can find a better 15 minutes starter than Barry right now.
Believe it or not, the Spurs are gonna add some new faces but the core is gonna be the same.
Tony is still gonna play 30+ minutes a game and the Spurs aren't gonna pay big bucks to sign a backup PG. I wouldn't be surprised Vaughn comes back and plays the same role
Manu is still gonna play 30 minutes a night and again Barry fits in with the starting lineup better than Udoka or anybody else. You don't want to pay big bucks for someone to play the leftover minutes from Manu
Bowen and Udoka will share minutes at SF and i truly doubt that's gonna change. Bowen may have lost a step but he's still a great and smart defender and definitely the best we have.
Duncan's gonna have a new supporting cast upfront. Bonner played well enough early in the year before Pop decided to give Horry minutes. for a guy playing 15 minutes behind Duncan, Bonner wouldn't be bad.
Center is where we may have a whole new cast. Oberto isn't a FA i believe but his days as a starter is probably over.
