W/ T-Mac United, I have to throw my hat in the ring for Russell. I have reasons, though. It's not based on my "relationship" with that poster - though I can say he's got the cutest butt in the world...and knows how to use it.

1. You always build a champion around a big man. MJ is the only exception.

2. In today's NBA, a traditional back to the basket center is as much of a liability as he is an asset. **For proof, see: all the teams still in the playoffs.** It has become too easy to game plan around a traditional center. Russell wasn't a traditional center. He wasn't oafish and slow. He was Dwight Howard before there was a Dwight Howard. He could run, play D, finish, and pass. And he was/is wicked smart.

Plus he was a little bit mean.

I am insulted that Dream was not even considered in this thread. I would take Half an Olajuwon over a team full of Jordan's.

In saying that though, what rules are we playing with? 90's no Zone Defense, or the modern jumpshot game?

Jordan wouldn't have been such a great player with all the double teaming that goes on now, sure he could beat most people one on one, but how would he fare now against a collapsing zone defense?
