good question. i was looking for that a few days ago. i guess we havent scheduled any yet. maybe mj is going to skip the workouts this year and just pick a random name out of a coffee cup. workouts take too much time away from golf. i got 50 bucks that says if the pre-draft workouts were located in a city that didnt have fabulous golf, mj wouldnt be anywhere near the workouts. good thing orlando has great golf. maybe next year mj can convince the nba to hold the workouts at pinehurst.

I am just going to put this out there, Anthony Randolph should be our pick, he could be our Lamar Odom/Tayshaun Prince. I think Larry Brown would appreciate that.

C Okafor
PF Randolph
SF Wallace
SG Richardson
PG Felton

Sure he doesn't bring a back to the basket game or low post, but we need to be a run n' gun team who rely on our athleticism...with the exception of Morrison...jk

If we draft Randolph and expect him to be our answer at 4 then we are going to get abused on the front line. GW would be better at the 4 bc Randolph is like 150 lbs.

i'm ok with randolph, but we would need to be patient with him. dont expect much the first two years.

I would like the Randolph pick but expect to wait 2 to 3 years minimum before he starts to scratch the surface of his potential.

Remember though LB eats, sleeps, and breathes defense so I'm not sure how keen he will be on him.

good article on SI.com

the part about brook lopez caught my eye.

i fear he might be the player who slips on draft day. i fear our front office still believes okafor should play pf. i fear our front office might view lopez as nazr's replacement. i fear that would make us insanely slow. its not that i think lopez is a bust, i just dont like the fit with out squad.

2. The two sides of the Brook Lopez question. The Stanford 7-footer is the top center in the draft and could go as high as No. 3 to Minnesota. He averaged 19.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.1 blocks as a sophomore, but there is great debate over his future.

"I think he is going to be very pedestrian,'' an NBA personnel scout said. "His rebounding numbers are so-so; if he's going to be a rebounder, he hasn't shown it yet. He's a guy who will have a career of 10 or more years in the league, but I doubt very seriously whether he'll distinguish himself.''

Another scout sees Lopez's glass as half full.

"I agree he won't be a great rebounder or a great shot-blocker,'' he said. "I see him as a spurt player who will be very good in bursts of time -- four or five minutes -- and then he might disappear for a while. But he's a very big guy with big hands, and he's very skilled. I think he'll always be a scorer and the kind of smart center who can be a good complement to Al Jefferson in Minnesota. I don't think he'll be a bust, not at all.''

anthony randolph says the knicks, bucks and bobcats, so far, have shown the most interest in him.

I can understand the knicks and the cats, but the Bucks? Thought they were good at SF with Yi and Bobby Simmons, though Charlie V is prob gone.

you gotta admire kevin love's attitude...

But unlike Noah, who fairly bristled at the mere suggestion of playing in Milwaukee, the 6-foot-10, 252-pound Love smiled and said,

simmons is a hack. like you said, charlie v is probably gone. that would leave yi and randolph to cover the 3/4 spots.

LOL@ the last line there, but that is a great attitude, i'm sure not alot of guys want to come here but i'd love to get a guy with that attitude( no pun intended).

As for Lopez, he's a guy that is OK, but will end up being like a 12-14 ppg 8 rpg 1 bpg type of guy. Not bad, but not special. I don't see why he'd go 3 overall myself. I guess if a team really needs a C his is the best available. I dont want him though.

Yea, but that would be oooo so dangerous going into the season relying on those 2 so heavily. Yi is not even adjusted to the American game and Randolph is as skinny as a rail. But I guess they are in rebuild mode.
