Not necessarily related to Kobe, but when stars don't play well, feeling the pressure isn't always the main or only factor. The defense being played on that player also plays a part in the struggles, below-usual form. Depending on how the series or game plays out, one can be there more than the other, and most of the time defense is the consistent factor in the aformentioned situation.
