I wouldn't mind if the Nets were to draft Gallinari but I'm pretty sure he's going to New York with the 6th pick (unless NY trades the pick).
The whole Italian connection with D'Antoni has to count for something... Gallinari's offensive versatility is something that D'Antoni desires from players, the two just seem like a good match.

The more I read about Alexander, the more I'm intrigued. I'm not sure I can pull the trigger on him at #10 since there are questions about his position.

Yeah his lack of the 3-ball could and his average lateral speed don't exactly make him an amazing 3 and he would be pretty small for a 4. But with this kid's freakish athleticism and slashing abilities along with the many isos we run (Frank's ran isos for rookies before)...I'd let him work at the 3.

I'm completely against Jordan unless he REALLY impresses in his workout .
You don't just pick a guy because he has a great body and could make something out of it but can't do anything right now. You pick a guy because you convinced he will help you .
If he doesn't show anything to impress he's not going to get picked by the Nets too many other good options available .

Sean was picked because he obliterated the guys he worked out against not because he's a risky pick or whatever.
Oh come on, man. You tell us who they shouldn't pick and you tell us the guy they should is the guy that impresses them the most. Anyone could've said that. Grow some and give us a player.

See? Was that too hard?
I'm a fan of Randolph too and like you've said, I don't see him falling to us at 10. My problem with him is his frame. Sure he's incredibly tall for his position, but I don't think he's the type of guy to bulk up. His lack of the 3-ball could hurt him more than Joe Alexander's same deficiency in the pros.

And who do you suppose we take?
Again I've seen Jordan play in person. I don't like him.
My list is of players I would like to see in a Nets uniform:
Randolph
Love
Mr. Italy
Speights
Rush
Batem (Mr. Frenchy)
Arthur
Unless I read/see anything to make me add to the list, these are the only guys that interest me. If we ended up with Jordan and Chase Buddinger I'd hate life. If Jordan is available at 10, I hope we find a partner to trade down and take Speights.

I'll say it again, it's not a sufficient for anyone else to think the same.

Well, I think we're just going to be on complete opposites on this one. I wouldn't mind taking Jordan at 10 and Budinger at 21.

I'm not trying to convince anyone else. I'm just saying I don't want him.
Yeah, but what's the point of discussion if you're not going to go into depth on a player? What I'm trying to say is, it's hard to have a discussion where the reason you give is that you saw him. I'm looking for "I saw him play and here's what I think..." Add a little more spice to the stew man.
