Kobe Bryant & Kevin Garnett : Face-Off

Following the playoff trend of the recent adds. I thought this was a pretty cool video with the upcoming series.

I always thought Kevin Garnett and Kobe Bryant on the same team would be unstoppable, with how the off-season went last year, with Garnett not wanting to come to L.A. because of what Kobe had said, and now they face off on the greatest basketball stage on earth. These two have had similar careers coming out of High School, both will be hall of famers. It's great to see these two reincarnate one of the greatest rivalries in sports.

note: sorry didn't know if I should have posted this in the official Lakers/Celtics thread.

Time for KG to pay for his biggest mistake. Going to the weak east and seeking easier run to the finals, refusing to team up with kobe.

it was no mistake...hes in the finals..he didnt want to be in the situation kobe was in...demanding the trades...and when they asked kobe would he have a change of mind if there was a trade for garnett...he said "i dont know"..so garnett didnt want to be part of it

any ways..

beat boston...and make their team blow up next year :D

So many storylines (including the historical ones) play into this series. Where do I begin?

It's great to see KG and Ray Ray in the finals as I thought it was long overdue but this is our time. It will be a great finals, with a lot of star power too it which is great for the league. A lot of storylines which will get the casual fans back to watching the finals after a few dull years. It would be great for us to win as I see us doing it in 6 or 7, but only because it wont be easy.

Boston is no push over and sadly they have our # in the season, but the question is, can anybdy on the Celtics stop Kobe let alone Sasha:)

how is it his mistake? The team was filled with uncertainty at the time. I think it was better off that he didn't come to L.A. because giving odom and bynum I think the lakers wouldn't have done that great in the regular season and they probably wouldn't have gotten their #1 seed. No such things as woulda shoulda coulda things happen for a reason...

I agree, now looking at it he is not that much better than Gasol

Though Garnett is a better player then Gasol, I think LA is better off better Celtics gave up alot more ( Jefferson, Gomes, Ratliff contract and a 1st ) then what Gasol cost you.

Your a better balanced team for it. Its a shame Bynum is out though, could use his inside strength this series.
