Are these the same experts who'd picked the Pistons in five or six?

I believe a lot of media pundits and Los Angeles fans are assuming the Lakers in five or six because the prevailing notion is: Boston will drop one out of the first two games. I don't see that. Boston probably learn their lesson in the Detroit series or so you hope.

Have they not notice our dominance at home especially in the first 2 games? Does anyone how the good the Laker D is because we have already battled two good defensive teams in the Cavs and Pistons and our's prevailed and we all know what wins championships.

Why do we call them experts? They should be called gamblers. Barkley is a so-called expert. He just had to pay off his gambling debts.

If jumping on a bandwagon is a science then ESPN analysts truly are experts. I feel really good about this series.

During the regular season, the Lakers gave up the twelfth most points (101.3) to their opponents.

During the post season, the Lakers have given up the fifth most points (99.5) to their opponents.

Conversely, the Celtics were second behind the Pistons in giving up the least points (90.3) to their opponents during the regular season and have given up the least points (87.2) during the post season to their opponents. And have played more games (20) than any team that made the post season. Impressive.

Boston held the best road record, 31-10, during the regular season. Whereas, the Lakers were tied for second best, 27-14, with Orlando. Moreover, Boston reaches the NBA finals with a 2-7 road record in the post season. While Los Angeles reaches it at 4-3.

This is a good sign. Not one even going 7? Good lord things are looking even better for us. I look at the Lakers' roster and after Kobe, Lamar and Gasol, I see nothing. Guess we will see, but I am going to guess the Lakers' have not seen a defense like ours. And don't tell me SA is as good, because it is not.

So Stein picked us to win in 6 against Detroit, and lose in 5 to LA? This is ridiculous. They should all die.

wow, pretty amazing. didnt expect that.

considering the stats in the post season (not records) I am suprised we are such an underdog to a team who wasnt even suppose to get there and has not seen the #1 defense in the league. the playoff stats are very telling. I am very suprised the lakers are being picked overall in a short series.

I think that is indicative of how they play offense too. They are slow and deliberate and control the tempo of the game. I, personally, feel the Celtics have the better of the two and they proved it this year beating SA twice. The Cs are more ferocious and quick.
