DEAL REVISED DUE TO SALARY PROBLEMS:

New York trades Marko Jaric (6,050,000), Rod Benson (687,456), and 08 2nd rounder (#39) to Washington for Stromile Swift (5,800,000) and Gerald Green (1,440,960).

6,050,000 + 687,456 = 6,737,456
5,800,000 + 1,440,960 = 7,240,960

6,737,456 * 1.25 = 8,421,820

Washington Accepts.

The Knicks accept.

Can one of the commissioners please help me make sense of this because I am trying to track draft picks but I am completely lost. I saw a trade in which Washington traded Jaric and the 19th pick to get Jason Williams and now he just made a trade with Philly to get Williams. Its too early in the morning for this $hit.

Sixers are also making a deal with the celtics, the brad Miller deal has been changed to..

Brad Miller
For
Kendrick Perkins 2.6 mil approximate..
Raja Bell 4,750,000
and Rasual Butler $3,315,000

3.3 plus 4.7 plus 2.6

carry the one.
= 10.6 Brad miller 10.5* 1.25 equals a lot more then 10.6 :)

Minny owns both the 14th and 19th pick

Philadelphia 76ers own the 18th pick

The Jason Williams to Philly deal is now VOID because the Philly GM tried pulling a fast one by picking up Booth from waivers.

The Perkins-Miller deal is approved, and Booth is still on the team, same with OJ Mayo, which means Philly has 14 roster spots filled with rights to Mayo (meaning he is NOT counted on the full roster because he isnt signed to a rookie-scale deal)

^^ I didn't pull a fast one, I waived him for 5 minutes, realized I still needed him for tha tdeal, Yelled noooooooooooooooooo as they started to rip up his contract. unfortunately, their was a smoker in the room, and he tossed the cigar towards the contract right as I was taping it up. it landed on it, i didn't notice it in my hace. Then Shaq was in my office practicing free throws, and he missed and hit the kerosene lamp right above me, igninting the cigarette and burning booth's contract.

So I guess it was the sesmic activity generated from this horrible joke falling flat that caused the crane collapse in NYC this morning.

The Sixers have continued shuffling picks and players around because they feel their guy will still be their at the pick they are acquiring.

The Sixers have traded the 9nth pick in the draft, along with the 2010 Cleveland 1st (Top 3 Protected) acquired in the Andre Miller deal, For the 11th and 24th picks in this years draft from the sonics.

The Portland Trail Blazers and the San Antonio Spurs have agreed on a 5-part trade.

*EDIT: trade was changed due to miscalucation of Anthony Parker's salary* it works now and nothing was changed except one more step was added as per my diligence ;)

1st Part:
SAS sends: Bruce Bowen 4.125
PDX sends: Eduardo Najera 4.95 (4.125 x 1.25 is > 4.95)

2nd Part:
SAS sends: Anthony Parker 4.35
PDX sends: TE 4.35

3rd Part:
SAS sends: Eduardo Najera 4.95
PDX sends: Anthony Parker 4.35 (4.35 x 1.25 is > 4.95 so this works)

4th Part:
SAS sends: Anthony Parker 4.35
PDX sends: TE 4.35

The San Antonio Spurs Receive 8.7 million of the Boris Diaw Trade Exception

5th Part:

PDX sends:

Yi Jianlian 2.78
Andre Iguodala 2.80
Mickael Pietrus 3.47
Udonis Haslem 6.05
Chuck Hayes 1.75
Eduardo Najera 4.95
2008 First Round Pick, #13th Overall (Belonging to Portland)
2009 Second Round Pick via Denver

Outgoing Total: 21.8
Incoming Total: 22.31 (21.8 x 1.25 = 27.25 so it works)

SAS sends:

Matt Bonner 1.35 due to BYC (originally 2.7)
Ian Mahinmi 0.63
Tim Duncan 19.01
2008 2nd Round Pick (via Toronto, #45 overall)

Outgoing Total: 20.99

The Heat and Nets have come to an agreement on a deal:

Heat trade/Nets receive:

Emeka Okafor $5,427,307
Chris Wilcox $6,500,000

Total: $11,927,307

Nets trade/Heat receive:

Richard Jefferson $12,200,000
Sean Williams $1,416,600

Total: $13,616,600

11,927,307 X 1.25 + 100,000 = 15,009,133.75
15,009,133.75>13,616,600

Heat accept, and are happy to bring in another young, talented player in RJ and a shotblocker with a ton of potential.

Nets confirm. As much as it hurts to lose RJ's scoring and Sean's blocking potential, the opportunity to add a young double-double big who can be a defensive anchor was too good to pass up on.
