I don't hate the Los Angeles Lakers. I've indifference toward any NBA team not the Boston Celtics. I only follow the home teams. For example, I care about the New England Patriots and can careless of the other NFL teams. As for the Los Angeles Lakers, I openly dislike Kobe Bryant. My dislike for him is only second to Shaquille O'Neal. I dislike these players and not for the fact that they're or were players for the Lakers franchise. That's irrelevant to me. I simply loathe them as people but not necessarily as players. Well, maybe I did for O'Neal early in his career. I don't like a player who runs his mouth, yaks and always seemingly has something to say. That's Shaq. I don't like Bryant for believing he's Michael Jordan down to the trademark tongue wag. Whether this was his own belief or the conception of the NBA to create the next MJ doesn't really matter. He isn't Jordan. Bryant is an overrated defender, in my opinion. I can name star players such as Allen Iverson, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Gilbert Arenas and likely there are more star players that Bryant can't guard when they're on. Typically, Bryant is a Me player. He's self-centered and a ball hog. I mean I don't see Bryant like LeBron James or Chris Paul as players who score a lot of points but look for their teammates a lot too. Bryant seems like a forced play maker. I reckon he has grown tired of the selfish label. And his name tends to be in the media a lot for negative stories involving him. I don't see Kobe Bryant as a likable guy. Never mind anything he does outside of basketball that's positive. He'll always be viewed for the negative incidents on and off the court in which his name was attached to. Still, I could say something nice about him. I feel that Bryant is the best shooting guard in the league but not the best overall player in the league. That distinction belongs to Tim Duncan, in my opinion.
