Beasley Tells All

Post#1 » by Patches Pal » Sat May 31, 2008 3:59 am

Michael Beasley revealed his official measurements in an interview with Inside Hoops. He is 6-8 1/2. He calls himself a 3 who rebounds like a 4.
This may explain why Miami isn't too high on him. He would play SF the same position as Shawn Marion.

Should the Sonics go for him if they get the chance? KD would be at SG permanently and Green might need to be traded. What could we get for Green? Do we keep all three?

Let me think, yeah that's the solution. We don't get Beasley period. Everyone so quick to even suggest getting rid of Green, he's a guy who we've put effort into and has more than proven himself to me. We will keep BOTH Durant and Green and I personally don't want Beasley, I think he comes with too much attitude and childish. I think if we get a player besides Rose or Beasley it would be for the best, we need everyone on the same page and knowing that Durant is the guy. Our franchise guy.

^So basically, are you saying we should pass on Rose because KD should be our one and only future superstar?

I wouldn't worry about it, it's not like he's going to be available when we pick.

I get your thinking about why we might want to pass on Beasley, but a bit confused about why we would want to pass on Rose. We need a steady pg on the floor with Green and KD.

Trading Jeff Green would be a mistake

I'm not overly concerned with Beasley's character or attitude. I like his confidence and with the ultra serious persona of Durant I think Beasley would be a good counter balance in the locker room.

If attainable, I would play Durant, Green and Beasley together, the potential mismatches seem very much in the Sonics favor.
