I agree. If he can hit his 25 home runs to go along with his excellent defense at short he will defiantly be our mvp.

He solidifies the defense. I don't think there is anyone more meaningful to the Crew than JJ Hardy. As JJ goes, the Brewers go.

for now, but there are a number of guys on this team that can carry it with their bat (hall, fielder, jenkins, probalby weeks if jj can)

I'm just saying...with JJ as our everyday shortstop we've gone 78-71 in his starts. (inlcuding tonight's final outcome)

It's simple. We win when JJ is our starting shortstop.

Nailbiting finish, but a good finish. Let's hope Dave Bush gets out of his early season rut tomorrow, we need him to go 7 innings at least tomorrow.

I'll work on the game thread for tomorrow right now. Maybe we should create one "Player of the Game" thread and just update after each game? One for each game would be too much.

Just back from my first game at MP this year. Outstanding. Great seats, DB118, row 5. My whole row was Astros fans, they weren't too bad, they only had the lead for an inning.

CV doesn't seem to have a defined roll on this team. I'm glad we won, but it makes me wonder what the bullpen rotation actually is. We have Turnbow, and Cordero for the 8th and 9th, and that's awesome. But the 6th and 7th? It seems like blindfolded darts alot of the time.

The 7th is Wise, but he's been used a lot lately. Villanueva is a long reliever who was pretty much the only option the Brewers had for the 7th inning. You could tell that they wanted Capuano to finish off the inning, and when he couldn't, Villanueva was put into a very tough situation. I thought he did a decent job though, only giving up the Lee single and the one that ricocheted off of him. The strikeout of Berkman was big.

Yup Villy is in long relief but we have had no need for long relief yet (knock on wood).
