I don't want any part of Wallace either, especially in a deal with Dirk involved. Sheed is the guy most Detroit fans want gone for a reason.

DET is keeping Stuckey, don't be silly. I don't see how DET would want Bass since they have Maxiell.

Josh+Stack+Wright for Sheed+Afflalo if anything; he's more expendable to the Pistons then Stuck is, but they are hoping Stuck/Afflalo are the next Rip/Chaunce.

I don't see a need for 2 undersized PFs in Bass & Maxiell

Also, if we are rebuilding and trying to get cap space, then I would trade dirk for better young peices. I'd rather have a large pure expiring (like Lafrentz) and a top 2 pick or great young talent than Sheed and some players that will be starters , but nothing spectacular.

Once again, Sheed to Dallas ain't happening. Just no way! Same with Jermaine O'neal.

I understand exactly where you are coming from because you think we should get superstar potential in return for Dirk and I agree. Rose or Beasley certainly have that potential and I can understand what you are saying by some of your recent trade suggestions that make sense.

Here is where I'm coming from though. I want to see superstar potential as well and I think Stuckey has a chance to be close to one down the road. But the most important part of that deal as well as another with Howard is to create cap space as soon as possible so that we can go after some young somewhat proven FAs. Kidd, Marion, and Sheed's expirings would drop our salaries down by about 52M creating about 20 mil of cap space.

I also understand about Maxiell so we could sub Affalo instead if Detroit would go for it.

Like someone else said, Dirk alone would put any Eastern conference PO team over the top like KG did this season.
Personally, I think the Mavs should take advantage of that in the off season and start rebuilding. Dirk's value is probably at its highest right now...especially in the east.
Having said all of this though, I would do a Dirk for the #2 pick and Marion in a heartbeat if Miami would do it which would certainly make them instant contenders again. But if they wouldn't, I could see where Detroit would have tremendous interest in Dirk.

Maybe Dirk for Sheed, Stuckey, Affalo, and their 08 first round pick.

You're right though, Sheed will not be in Dallas.

The only Pistons I want for our current roster are Rip or Prince and neither one of those two are going anywhere.

I think that would be pretty disasterous. Both of those players can play inside but refuse to. I would not want to see them on the same team.

If Wallace was coming over, it would have to be Dirk & Stack for Sheed and Hamilton or something like that. However, I don't see Kidd and Sheed being too sucessful.

Sheed to Dallas ain't happening.

I tend to agree. Sheed can score in the post, but he wonders on the outside alot. I remember in the C's series the would refuse to go inside, although i am sure KG had something to do with that.
