*chuckles and smirks*
But just to generally point out some things
Gasol's an underrated defender, being pretty solid there because of his length at better than 7 feet and long arms, and is pretty disciplined. I've always pointed that out about him despite a lot of people thinking he's a medicore and soft defensive player. If somebody doesn't pay attention or see him enough, outside of his blocked shots, you're not going to realize how effective of a defender Pau is. Pau is not a consistently good rebounder, though, not a top rebounder amonst other star bigs, and isn't something you think of when you think about him.
And, while Odom is a smaller PF in overall size (mass being the reason), he still has enough size, has the smarts and of course good agiility to be a well-rounded, good defender. Specifically on the interior, altering, blocking shots, and of course rebounding. Not an anchor, but definitely a quality helper.
Pau/Odom are an above-average defensive PF/C pairing, as a combo overall they are better offensively than defensively, but still balanced enough.

Great, great team win by the Celt Show
Very impressive - that 4th qtr was just tremendous, they imposed their will on Detroit, and executed well on defense and offense.
I don't think the road is a real issue for them anymore, they've shown enough now. I was questioning if they'd be able to improve enough with how badly they played on the road before the ECF.
I'm happy for KG, Pierce, and PJ Brown, all three of those guys have been through a lot and come close to the oppurtunity. Always have enjoyed their play, too.

Now, I'm not saying exactly like them, because what they did hasn't been done since one of the early 90s Knicks teams (93-94). And nobody expected Boston to be what they were defensively, I thought they'd be solid, just not really special. But, from a general stand-point, defense is what has made Boston what they were all season and over the course of the playoffs. The significant offensive capability was going to be there with the three main guys, and the role-players around them - but the defense, is what seperated the Celtics from a lot of teams in the league, and what made them the title contending team they became.
As a whole, you get a team in balanced form.
Balance is the route to strive for.

Celtics win would change a lot of things in the NBA compared to the last few years.
- Home court (regular season) importance - The Celtics had benefit from having home court, most evident in Cavs series.
- Young Vs vets - Ainge did 2 very bold moves, gave up 5th pick in a great draft for 3 years rental of aging Ray Allen, and gave a top young big man prospect with few average prospects and some picks for ~3 years of past prime KG, he was rewarded, maybe that'll encourage some of the pretenders in the NBA to move.

KG's still in his prime years, that's been evident in his play, but in the bigger picture he is in the latter part of his prime.
With his stats, he had a below-usual year because of difference in team situation, and who he was playing with. I think the ability to focus more on defense than ever also played a part.

LOL
ESPN in full Laker-darling mode as usual
I understand there being significance for the Lakers, but ESPN goes overboard.

Yeah, that's pretty disrespectful IMO.

Nope, KG is NOT the player he was during his MVP form, no matter how you twist it.

Nobody said he's not good any more, just past his prime, he was better before, he is less than that now, is there anything not clear about what prime means?
Here's the Babylon definition
in his prime:
in his youth, in his younger days, at the height of his powers or capabilities
