Cool. Not surprising at all, but I'm glad he'll be back for one more season, then we can get someone else in there.

whatever happened to reporters just reporting the story and not trying to be part the story? I counted 49 "I"s in that article.

So Nelson doesn't care about championships?
Wonder how Baron feels about that.

You guys are funny.

No one brings up that under Nelson the team has increased its win total two years in a row. So he has been improving the team every year he's been here.

I'm really surprised that you basketball geniuses haven't figured out how a team wins a championship yet (since you all think that should be the Warriors goal). Look around the league and recent champions. For the most part, championship rings are bought by teams dropping a ton of cash on a Shaq, Gasol, KG and going over the cap for a short period just to get a ring. The trick is the team has to have a near superstar already in place.

This develop players and focus on defense is for suckers and losers. Well, actually it's fine for being a mediocre team, but you'll never win a championship that way. Personally, after 14 years of suck, I love that we've improved the last 2 years. Considering the Warriors front office are not (and under the current owner will ever be) interested in winning a championship, this is the best we can hope for.

You just don't know what you've got until it's gone. Don't worry Nelson bashers, this time next year the Warriors front office will be hunting for a successful collage coach to take over from Nelson and teach the Warriors fundamentals. The team will win 30 games and all will be right with the world again.

Hey Souvlaki, you've just made my point for me:
Nelson >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Baron

Thanks!

I think everyone who believes the Warriors improved should have to wear a scarlet F

Yeah, you're right. I miss Dunleavy, Fisher and Murphy. Oh, those were the days.

Was referencing that we improved from last year to this year... but good to know what your yardstick is for improvement. Not a cop out at all, is it?

It's the truth. How can something that is so blatantly obvious be lost on you? The only criteria that matters is wins/losses. When you consider the loss of Jackson and the start of the season, it makes the improvement even more remarkable.

As I said, this team will not win a championship unless they swing a blockbuster deal. They aren't going to do that. Thus, the best we can hope for is a lot of wins and hopefully make a little noise in the playoffs. If you expect anything else, you're not being a realist. And your endless posts seem like childish rantings.

No you're correct, numerical analysis is the way to go.

Baron was an improved scorer and improved defender
Jackson was an improved scorer

Wheeee! Taking the thinking part out of analysis is fun, no wonder ya'll love to do it

Can we please chill on the "cop out", "taking the thinking out is fun", etc type comments when someone disagrees in a basketball discussion?

Sure, so long as you mods don't operate under the double standards you supposedly despise.

Or people could stop saying "Well we're not the GMs" or "We won more games, thus improved", which are examples of the above.

I wonder if you were agreeing with what I said, if you'd be telling the others not to use name calling tactics like (Please Use More Appropriate Word), childish, and the like? Just baseless speculation I guess.

If more wins doesn't equal improvement, I'm not looking forward to when win totals are decreasing and we're "improving."

I would much rather have a sucky, 55-win team.
