Red Auerbach on Flopping

Post#1 » by JohnVancouver » Fri May 30, 2008 8:24 pm

Cool early '70s instructional clip with Red and some familiar names to those of us of a certain age (Unseld, Hayes ... Mike Riordan!)
And Mendy Rudolph, who is pretty much the Voice of God.

Classic! I love Red, and he was an amazing person for this game. I think the way Stern has taken this game makes Red angry. Red was about Team, and tough physical play. Stern has helped this go to an individual sport with a punch of POS soft players out there.

If we could get these type of people back into running the NBA, I would love the NBA so much more.

thx for the vid.

I love the "instructional" videos by Red...He was really a great coach and a great person. And he has a particular aura around himself...don't know how to explain it but everytime he talks he springs charisma.
