true but incomplete, ginobili took pay cuts, duncan recently did, udoka did, and im sure im forgetting more.
Duncan is a different player altogether, and he didn't take a HUGE pay cut, anyhow.

Wasn't it something like $2-3 Million less to stay?

off the top of my head it was 15 million. his maxed out contract would be a 55 million extension, but he only took 40.
Manu Ginobili:

* Euroleague: 2001
* Americas Championship: 2001

Agree 100%. To me, Turiaf is almost totally expendable. Like everyone else, I love his attitude and enthusiasm. But even with our depth perilously thin up front, he's only been averaging about 10 minutes a game in the playoffs. Once Bynum comes back, he'll be nothing more than an insurance policy. Unlike Sasha, who has proven to be an invaluable contributor this season.

I know LA is one of the biggest market out there but how can Dr.Buss afford to pay Kobe 20 Mil, Gasol 13 Mil, Odom 12 Mil, Bynum 10+ Mil, Rad MLE, Machine MLE, Turiaf close to MLE and other contracts here and there?

Thats waaaay over the luxury tax.
I can see the Rocket offering the Machine MLE because we need a backup SG/SF with size and experience. Will the Lakers really match that? What if our GM give Phil Head?
