I think I said this in another post, but I'd put Landry in on that deal. We'd have to shorten their other return though. I don't thiiiiink Memphis has the ball distribution talent to make Landry work for them though, so they might not pull on that one. Again, "hell no" to trading Scola.

Considering how much they got for Pau Gasol I'm sure you could pry away Mike Miller in a deal that includes a

2010 second round pic+DVD player+Fujitsu laptop

Chris Wallace might even send you back their first rounder in 2009

Get'er done

Should probably also mention that if Gregg Popovich gets physically sick thinking about giving away Scola, it's probably not a good idea to trade him. We don't have any bad contracts we could get rid of in a trade involving him to get back a really good player (which would be an oddball trade for anyone doing it anyway), straight-up isn't going to work with him because of salaries, if we give away an expiring with him we'd better get back someone great (which means it still wouldn't make sense for the other team). There's just no way nor reason that trading Scola for anyone makes sense. If he's traded, one of the two teams involved is going to get fleeced.

There better not be a bunch of "hey I bet we could put Scola on this deal" trade proposals this offseason. If there are, I'm gonna beg the board owners for a tagging system so we can start slapping anyone guilty of it with fun derogatory tags (assuming the system is implemented, which it won't be, there is a June 20 grace period).

They're gonna show up anyway, there's no way they aren't. This offseason is going to suck. :nonono::nonono::nonono::nonono::nonono::nonono::nonono:

uh, this is memphis we are talking about... (kwame for gasol), so in order for this trade to make sense it has to be chuck hayes for mike miller..

although trading scola would leave you guys thin at the 4 once again, passing up on miller is hard. the rockets have gone thru their stretchs where they struggle to score, adding a shooter/scorer/ball handler like miller can only help. if this deal goes through the rockets can always draft a hibbert, or a koufous or any other respectable 4/5 when your draft position rolls around.

btw, if this deal happens, its an absolute steal for you guys. scola is most effect on winning teams.

I rather trade landry. Think we can pry Nick Collison from seattle?
They might pick love also they are trying to get Green to play PF. With Wilcox, green, collison it might get crowded in the PF position.

Ron ron on how commited he is to the team.
