I think it was Arvydas Sabonis. He wasn't able to play in the US because of political circumstances at the time.

Manute Bol in 1983. His orginal draft was deemed ineligable due the NBA not knowing how to deal with international draft picks at the time. He would be drafted 2 years later.

Yeah, Sabonis was drafted in 85 and 86. Don't know if it's happened since then.

Bulls is correct .Sabonis was originally drafted by Atlanta in 3rd rd but was not yet eligible.Portland then drafted him last pick of first round following year

In the 80's there was a season in which each of the top 3 NBA rebounders shared the same first name Name all 3 players
