Would you trade #21 for Lopez/Randolph at #7?

We basically don't care about the players themselves and what they're able to do since none of the players are difference makers . It's all about contracts and 3 years in total more . ( Hassel doesn't have much guaranteed for 09/10 )

So would you guys do it if it was only Blount/#7 for Swift/#10? Or Banks/#7 for KVH/#10?

If I HAD to take one of them, I'd rather take Banks. I think he may be able to produce on the Nets in a reserve role. Whatever direction the Nets want to go, Blount is the complete opposite of that to me.

Ok I would offer as part of a multi-team deal:

Banks/Alexander Johnson/#7 for KVH/Ager/#10

Personally, I'd probably due that deal if Thorn and Kiki felt we HAD to have a player and thought he'd be taken at 8 or 9. We're basically giving up nothing, getting the first rounder we wanted, adding Banks who still has upside and adding a guy like Alexander Johnson (who I was a big fan of when he came into the league).

Would this deal ever happen, I highly doubt it.

I think the only way the Nets move up is for one of 3 players:
1) O.J. Mayo
2) Danillo Gallinari
3) Kevin Love

Otherwise, they stay put or potentially trade the pick in a deal for a veteran player.

If Thorn thinks one of Jordan, Love, Lopez, Randolph is clearly superior to the others and he is on the board then of course, its a no brainer to trade the 21, to move up three sports and to ensure he gets that player.

The cost of moving up three spots in the top 10, in this case a #21, is not unreasonable. It just depends on whether Thorn feels that strongly about any peculiar prospect. To me, if Love is on the board, I do the trade without hesitation.
