Police arrested Spurs guard DerMarr Johnson over the weekend and charged him with driving while intoxicated.
Johnson, 28, was released Sunday morning after posting $1,000 bail. A breath test showed the 6-foot-9 basketball player had exceeded the legal limit of 0.08 percent, police said.

^Seconded. He was probably barely tipsy with a BAC of .09 or .10 or something. What I'd be curious to know is why he was pulled over - speeding? Traffic violation? That'd give more insight.

From the article: a traffic officer pulled over a black SUV on Loop 1604 near Interstate 10 West because it was traveling 20 mph over the speed limit, weaving and following other vehicles too closely, police spokesman Joe Rios said.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.
NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

You will never touch a drink in your life? Well then you have a right to act that way. But you have to understand that almost all of our society drinks, and driving after a few glasses of wine is something nearly all people do. Acting like Johnson is a bad person isn't fair, unless you think most of America is full of bad people.

But, just because everyone does something, doesn't mean it's right.
What he did is stupid, simple. -- Some have different tolerance levels, as compared to others. But, still; in general, drinking and driving isn't a wise choice for yourself, and especially not for others. The same goes for talking on the cell while driving, or for the women driving and putting on their make-up. Same thing, it's just stupid!

No matter how silly, you can count on some poster's here defending players actions. I was in Atlanta when DeMarr crashed his car. I have also been around him on a few occassions. Let's just say he's not the brightest bulb on the tree.
He has jeopordized his life & and career having "a few cups of wine". Who drinks wine out of cups, anyway?

a lot of people have a couple of drinks and drive. i don't think it's a big deal.
BUT, if he was going 20mph the speed limit, weaving and tailgating that's a different story. that's more than "a couple of drinks" and that's why people get hurt or die. because of stupid people who can't control themselves, not people who have a couple drinks and drive.
