The fact that you have to compare a 'motivated' Vince vs. Pierce is exactly his biggest problem.

He SHOULD be motivated. He is a loser, though. Are we really going to sit here and say, oh, Vince would be this good if he actually tried? That's idiotic.

Pierce is a better leader, a better rebounder, WAY better defender, better 3PT shooter (look at the stats, Paul has shot 39% from 3 the last couple years), playmaker, more clutch... this isn't even a good comparison.

I'll take the guy that's in the NBA Finals and hasn't quit on his team and demanded a trade.

You're taking the same guy that without KG and Ray Ray only won 24(?) games last season.

Carter is a better athelete than pierce but who isnt? Vince Carter is looser who is overrated and jacks up shots. cool kids, wasnt pierce injured last season. did the celtics loose 21 strait without pierce?...thank you.

if you saw him play after kidd left and knew he was playin on basically one leg you would have seen he had alot of passion and he was actually trying but being like tmac in the sense was setting up his teammates alot playing more of the point gaurd role cuz harris isn't a pure pg. next year hes gonna be back to normal if not better.

even on one leg his defense was solid if hes healthy his defense is better, if the nets had more offense other than RJ then he could be a better defender and not waste so much energy on offense.

Pretty close, but look at the defense Pierce put on Lebron in that series and his game 7 performance. Vince did put up 50 once in the playoffs and not many have done that in the postseason.
