For the Kings it's a really tough call, Hinrich's D is definitely a huge plus, but I guess it just at least partially depends on who we get as our PF of the future. I'm kind of indifferent about how either would fit next to Spencer, but Kevin is different. Even though Kevin isn't just a shooter, using him as such could be extremely effective in how he scores, which would be a big plus for Ford.
I guess I would go with Hinrich just because there would be less of an injury risk, and otherwise, it's relatively close over all.

For the Kings, I would actually go with Ford. Ideally, Martin is best moving without the ball, and would allow the playmaking duties to go to Ford. It's kind of like a rich man's Beno Udrih situation. Not to mention that a Ford/Martin fastbreak would be absolutely sick. That's the fastest backcourt in the world.

Hinrich for the Heat, no doubt. He's big enough to play both positions. He's a conservative ballhandler but he can push the pace. He's big enough to check either guard spot, and leave Wade free to roam, since he excels on help D. Finally, Hinrich is a solid shooter that could be taking spot-up looks off of Wade's playmaking all day. He could fill the Damon Jones role while actually playing on defense and handling the ball.
TJ Ford could be a distaster. I can't imagine him and Wade contending with injury problems in the same backcourt.

But the thing about moving without the ball is that, it's really tough to organize an offense where the person with the ball is moving and the person without the ball is moving (like Martin does). If it could be worked out, it would actually be extremely tough to guard, but it would also be a very complicated offense to work out in the first place.
But like I said, I could see the argument for Ford and there's a good chance I would pick him if not for his health concerns, but for me it's close enough to where Ford's injuries make me go with Hinrich.

Man, if the Celtics got Ford and his court vision, watch them demolish the Lakers. Also, TJ won't try to be Jordan in closing minutes if he has KG, PP or Ray Ray next to him.
The Mavs already have Kidd, so Hinrich -who is a good shooter in contrast to JK2- would be the better fit.

I absolutely agree. I am one of those guys who has been ripping into TJ on the Raps boards. He would be a much better fit in a place like Boston where he wouldn't feel inclined to take that game winning shot and instead, would focus on making that clutch pass.
Either way, i'm just happy if he's gone from Toronto. He's one of the only ballers on our squad who has the "American Baller" mindset.

You would probably take Jose over Chris Paul because Chris has the "American Baller" mindset.
