I think Donte Green is just too talented to pass up at this point, but I feel like Ty Lawson might get a huge jump in votes with a renewed interest in him lately.

Donte Greene because he's the best player available, and I think you have to look at that more so than need at this point in the draft.

I'm voting for Rush, I think he's as good a pro prospect as Greene and the Pacers need a two guard.

Yeah I voted for Rush too. I'm not about taking a flier on some guy just because he has high "upside". It's not the right time for our team to be doing that...and I like Rush better.

Maybe I'm in the wrong here, but one of the conclusions I've made on our team is "too many role players, not enough star power". So why is it not wise to take a flyer on a player with a lot of upside? It's not like this roster is crawling with stardom. Now, is the perfect time to nab players with high upside as we're essentially rebuilding. You add role players to your core, we don't yet have that core completed IMO or at least a satisfactory one.

Well, I dont think anyone at this point in the draft has much "star power" potential. I see Donte Greene as someone who could be a solid starter, tops. Not a star, or else I'd agree its worth taking a flier on him. Not only that, he would have one hell of a time getting any sort of playing time for us. Our best young players (and best players period) play essentially the same position as Greene. I think Rush has nearly as much potential without the high risk of being a bust. Plus, he knows what it takes to win and I could see him taking his brother's minutes on our team.

Rashard Lewis plays PF in the East, so I don't think it's out of the question that when bulked up, Donte Green could see a lot of time there. Brandon Rush would probably be my next choice, but I'm taking the most upside available, and that's Greene easy.

I wonder if Brandon's brother has anything to do with why people are wanting him at this point.

I went with Green who should have went ahead of CDR.

I'm going with Lawson. I'd love to trade into the late first round and take Lawson rather than Augustin at 11.

Why would Kareem have anything to do with people wanting Brandon?

Can't you say the same thing about Shawne Williams? And Williams is a couple years farther along than Green, and frankly, seems to have just as much potential IMO.

I just don't see much need for a guy like Green. Unless Green has a lot more ability than I am giving him credit for (which is of course entirely possible).

I'm wondering if we can get the words "raw", "athletic", and "potential" added to the language filter. While we're at it, I'd love to see "basketball IQ" hit the road, too.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

I can't see Rush bing a great pick here. He has a lot of *********, but he really didn't do enough to impress me. There are a lot of guys left here that are more ******** and have more *** talent. I also just don't think his ********** ** is high enough to play consistently for a couple of years. ;)

No adding words. I already wasted enough time trying to use all of the originals!

You could say, but nowhere was Shawne Williams projected to play the PF position except by Larry Bird (imagine that). Heck, NBADraft.net had him listed as a 2 guard.

Donte Greene is projected at least to play some power forward. He's also slightly taller than Shawne, weighs about the same, and hasn't even begun NBA weight training yet.
