Ask anyone who actually WATCHED the ECFs about Ratliff playing in front of Maxiell and then get back to me. I don't get how you can even dispute this.

Ratliff is taller that Maxiell, flat out. There are a lot of coaches who would go for size to defend KG more effectively.

Maxiell only went off in one game. Other than that, he was decent, but can't defend KG.

i think avery would be a perfet fit if they keep the current group together. if they decide to go young, than you need a coach that can develop players and maybe develop with them. (maybe mark jackson)

Doesn't surprise me after the series loss.

Of course most of it isn't on Flip, but a significant part of it is.

Rasheed's inconsistency (not relating to during the regular season, because he really coasts) for a couple reasons, played a part in Detroit's coming up short w/ Flip. Prince being below-average in the Celtics series also played a part. Billups not quite being right and getting going until later in the Boston series also effected things. Just to list a few.

Assuming it happens, I think Curry can really be a good coach. Had a decent career as a role-player, going undrafted, and was head of the NBA players union or something like that, before.

Will be interesting to see how Detroit adjusts their roster.

Yes, our starting five can all shoot jumpers, that doesn't excuse that fact that Flips offense catered to forced jumpshots that were defensively dictated. Where were the pick'n'rolls? where were the cuts to the baskets? We saw them under Larry Brown.... we even saw them under Rick Carlisle.

Not wanting to play Stuckey came from the Detroit media who reported that Joe Dumars sat Flip down and told him to play Stuckey even though Saunders was hesitant.

Amir didn't play all season beside a few games here or there or the few weeks when Flip decided to go hog wild and actually used the bench and we went on a long winning streak. Who said anything about playing Amir in the playoffs? Or against Garnett? if you want to argue, go argue with yourself.

I'm not letting the players off the hook, Sheed sucked and will most likely be leaving. Dice sucked as usual but he gets a pass cause he's nice and quiet. Ratliff sucked but hey, it's better than playing the young guys.

Under Larry Brown? in 2004, we may have had the worst offense to ever win the Nba title.... That series against Indiana was brutal... The one against New Jersey wasn't much better... The difference being was that

1.) The defensive rules favored us
2.) We had Ben Wallace in his prime patrolling the paint

We never opposed our will offensively... It was all done with defense and once Ben Wallace started slipping, everyone else was obviously hurt by that fact....

We haven't had a decent post player since Corliss and we haven't had a guy to slash to the basket and score since Stackhouse...

As a coach, You can only play with the pieces that you have....
Flip had jumpshooters....

The only thing Avery would be good for in Detroit is a laughter for the team when he makes his speaches . Seriously this guy is grosly overrated . He would have a nice reg. season because Detroit's a good team but then it ends because Avery can't make any adjustments and never takes advice .( Which is why he's been fired in Dallas. )

Avery won't coach anywhere as long as his contract with Dallas is technically still running because he won't get the money he's still owed from it anyway.
