do you think he even wants to be on the nets where he will never have a chance at cracking the starting lineup with devin harris being here?

do you really think hes gonna put 100% effort if hes not gettin the minutes desired, he had hope of being this franchise PG for the team when kidd was here and now his role at best will be a 7th man off the bench.

personally id think itd be wise to trade him and get some solid role player PG who knows their role as in a bigger deal in which we get a know your role PG back who can handle more minutes than armstrong.

How can people say this? Not everyone breaks out in their rookie year like Lebron. Last year his offense really came through. While is decision making was questionable at times, he shot the ball well. He also makes accurate passes. Defense is another issue that he needs to work on but in no way, shape, or form can you label him a "bust" at this stage of his career.

ACCURATE PASSES???? he cant be a pg because he cant throw a good pass w/o a turnover.

I totally agree with you. People sometimes say $hit without thinking. How could a #21 or so pick be a BUST?

Swift is a BUST. 2nd overall pick. People need to relax sometimes. M. Will needs a better coach. Someone that can develop players. Yeah M. Will needs to grow up and be more dedicated but it is also up to the Coach or coaching staff.

Fasca, I have two words for you:

Chancey Billups.

the least we can do is give this man a chance, look at Billups, it took him years to be aleet, not saying he will but give the man a dam chance

if we trade, it should be a package for a big man...

Remember too, look at a lot of players that bloomed late in their careers like Chauncey...they didn't do it for the team that drafted them. His best chance to become productive is to get to a team that believes in him.

I've said it before and i'll say it again the jury is still out on this. No way a 21st pick is a bust.
But then again his attitiude and off court problems made him drop like a rock to 21.
He needs a big summer league, massive injury free training camp to be properly appraised.
He showed glimpses last year but no where enough.

Time to step up to the plate MWILL and show us what you got.

Read the posts. Nobody is comparing his game to chauncey's in any way whatsoever. They're talking about his potential career path if he ever has the desire to live up to his potential could mimic chauncey's (i.e. not getting into a system he fits in until a handful of years into his career). Nobody ever said he's like Chauncey in terms of how he plays. It's just a career comparison and Chauncey's name came up since he's also a PG. If he was a SF and we were talking about Antoine Wright, I'm sure Bruce Bowen's name would have come up or something to that extent.

as long as devin's up and healthy and frank is the coach, the chips are stacked against him. I'm thinking his relationship with the nets is too far gone for him to be effective here. trade him for the best we can get.

What if the Knicks trade their #6 for Marion, are the Nets willing to do a trade of #6 and Blount for Swift, Marcus Williams, #10 and the 2010 1st pick from Dallas?

I've personally never heard of a team trading a player for a pick...then trading that pick away...all in the same draft.

And if Blount ever wears a Nets uniform, I'm seriously slitting my wrists

But for fun, Banks/Haslem/#6 for Swift/Williams/KVH/#10 is fine though. To move from 10 to 6 does not require 2 picks when the players we're talking about are involved.

Wow...No..

Trade an expiring, a young player with some potential, a pick that might be lottry with the way dallas is headed just to move up 4 spots AND take an extra year of blount. No thanks..
