WORKOUTS ANYONE?

Post#1 » by PHILLYLOVE » Wed Jun 4, 2008 6:36 am

Every year, around this time workouts start for the Sixers...most teams have probably begun them on Monday. I know Sixers normally post pictures at least from their workouts each day. Anyone know if that is still going on this year? Or if we are keeping our workouts low key with Ed in office? Or have we just not had any yet?
If anyone knows any info please post. would love to know who we are bringing in.

No workouts yet. We would've known.

Expect some unexpected names/positions to be brought in early in the process... That's how the GM's play the poker game... Nobody wants to show where their cards off the bat, so the first invitees are usually smoke screens.

I imagine sixers.com will report who's coming in. I'm not a big fan of that site but they did do a solid job of reporting the workouts last year.

Good news in that those guys don't have lottery promises from a team higher than the Sixers.

Finally some workout information, but definitely not too exciting. Check out:

C.J. Giles, JaVale McGee, and Callistus Eziukwu. Interesting.

Can you imagine BK even working out Giles?

certainly wouldn't want to overstep my boundaries, but as a die-hard draft Junkie, it'd be sweet to see a steady thread for workouts.... thxxxxx

JaVale said his mom now works for an outreach program in Michigan. In March, she was quoted by the Associated Press in Reno, Nev., nicknaming her son "The Big Secret."

Big Ups to Jasner for breaking the first workout news of the summer... For all the flack he gets, the man does a good job with draft workouts, as TGP alluded to.......

The Big Secret, eh? I certainly wouldn't be shocked if the Sixers stood pat and nabbed JaVale at 16. It seems like his exact range.

A couple of teams jump the gun, but most don't start workouts until after the Finals...
