First of all, I know you approve of Salim.
And I KNOW espn will not let the world know when Salim Stoudamire gets signed to a contract for next year. Do you know any good websites that know inside information about free agency in the NBA?
Reason being I need to get his new jersey.
Thanks

Dude he's one of the best pure shooters in the NBA and he's my favorite college player of all time. If he gets traded to a team that gives him consistent minutes he will score.
And why would i want to get a jersey like Joe Johnson, Kevin Garnett or Kobe Bryant when everyone already has those. Don't always follow the croud man.

Since everybody and their moma's suddenly have JJ jerseys we should celebrate. Salims a streak shooter, I just always seem to miss the streak..[/b]

Obviously, I only included Joe Johnson because this is the Atlanta Hawks board and i assume that most of the Hawks' jerseys found in Atlanta are his..
And Salim is not a streaky shooter if he is given consistent minutes.
Salim's career high for points in a game is 37 (14/20 FG, 6/9 3PT) vs. Portland where he played 33 minutes
Someone show me a list of NBA players that have scored 36+ points in a game EVER and their current contracts.
In '06-'07 season, whenever Salim shot more than 10 times in a game two games in a row (which were on 6 different occasions, 13 total games), he shot a combined 80/168 from the field, 40% of those shots probably being from downtown. The interesting thing is that in all but two of these games, he was given 22+ minutes.
Only once in the '07-'08 season did Salim shoot 10 or more shots two games in a row. In these games he shot a combined 11/24 FG 5/11 3PT. He averagead approximately 22 minutes 30 seconds in these games.
If Salim is given minutes consistently where he is able to shoot, he is a good player.

What's your definition of jacking up shots? Essentially, everyone in the NBA jacks up shots. I've read so many comments about people praising his tenacious defense dude. Do you even watch the games?

Who praises Salim's defense? He works hard, but it isn't exactly tenacious. As for making shots when given consistent minutes, I highly reccomend you look at Salim's game log over his career. There were several stretches this year where he was playing minutes off the bench for five games straight or so, and he didn't make shots.

There are like four "non (Please Use More Appropriate Word)" coaches in the entire league if you read other teams' boards. Everyone blames the coach.
I really want Salim to do well, he is so fun to watch and work very hard. But he didn't deserve to play this year because he didn't perform when given the opportunity.

Only ONCE this whole season did he ever get to play 15 minutes two games in a row. In those two games he shot 11-24 FG 5-11 3PT. How can you say he was ever given a fair opportunity? 10 minutes is not enough.
Did you look at my earlier post? That totally proves that if he is given consistent minutes he will produce.
Rip, what team do you think he would excel on?

I view jacking up shots as having the 3rd highest highest usage and 2nd highest field goal attempts per 48 minutes on the team in the last 3 years despite being a 2nd round pick. Anyone who doesn't think Salim is a chucker doesn't watch the Hawks.
