Whats up in this dead part of Basketball season. Whats the gosip? How are things in the great Worriors nation . My second favorite team and fans. POB should we go after him in free agency or do you guys think he's a bust? Or do you guys want to resign him?
Whats all the B.D trade talk im hearing ? Is it any thing to it?
Who do you have your eyes on in the up coming draft?
 Good luck next year and kick some tail

Patrick is (soon to be) an unrestricted free agent. Some people here think he has a lot of skills for a seven footer and blame the coaches for not bringing it out, others think he doesn't have the heart (or whatever) to be a successful NBA player. He'd probably be available to bring into summer camp on a non-guaranteed deal for some team who wants to have a closer look.

PS Baron will not be traded. The Warriors like him, but probably wouldn't be averse to moving him in the right deal... however teams aren't going to offer a lot when he's due ~$18 mil next season and will be a free agent next summer.

We just had our best W-L % in over a decade. We have one more year of a genius coach who--unfortunately---creates his own limitations. We have concerns about next year's depth. Much of our depth and some starters are technically free Agents now. O'Bryant? He got jerked aound and deserves his chance to GET IN THE GAME and succeed or fail. He has a whole lot more raw talent than Hollins has. What's missing is that POB Never Once got to play a whole QUARTER. He was picked #9 and there was never the sense here that we MUST make that pay off. I'd have at least expected some curiosity. Hey...let's see what happens....but no.

It's wrong. He's been held in custody forbidden to play basketball or make his case that he CAN play. If you lock 'em up---you give 'em due process.

On the Bobs? Give the guy a real chance to win a role and some coaching and he may be your best off season move.

GSW SHOULD keep him--but burned the bridges. He'd have to be crazy to stay here.

You guys should break out of lotto hell soon. J Rich -Wallace- Okafor is a nice core. A Morrison can play ball and should be healthy. May--if he's healthy-can surprise. In the East... .500 gets a playoff slot. The Bobs are ready but need more of a team identity/experiance/coaching all that can happen very soon.

Here...Nellie brought a great fast pace game-has a phobia about power forwards..rookies....and ironically...we got a rookie-PF from you guys. We treated him like he had leprosy :dontknow: ...so Celt's rd 2 pick Glenn Davis actually got more minutes-by a lot. Odd...because Wright is really a talent.

Good points ( For a guy who's first name is Twinkie) I have SEEN the fallout of the GSW tradition to blame the BEST player and dump him for a nice package of garbage we then drag around. Yep...few can do $18 mill more or less. No point..or sense..trading Baron to get an expiring. He IS one.

Trade him for what and why? To get a star? Oh...he's been that here too.

There's scenarios where I think GSW MIGHT deal Baron and ultimately come out well. Those tend to be gambles on some draft pick turning into great stuff. We just made damn poor use of our last 5 draft picks. Never even TRIED to get them rolling. Trading (again) a 20 pt producing PRO for a teenager to be neglected later....been that path.

The key word here is neglected.

If I were the Bobcats, I would definitely offer POB a deal. Something like, two years guaranteed at $2mil/year. Bigman skills that he possesses are hard to find. Think of it like getting another first round draft pick. He's a low-risk/high-reward type of potential player who would fit nicely in with the Bobcats young core.

Yes, Larry Brown and MJ are just the guys to bring that fire out of POB. Kwame Brown ring a bell? How about Darko?

POB would crap his pants daily in Charlotte.

POB needs a nice coach and as small an amount of people watching him as possible. Memphis could work. Outside of that, the Jam and Stampede are probably his best bets.

Minnesota will go after Obee.

Jeffesron needs a center, and obees young and cheap enough for them to take a flier.

They resign Gomes and their front line can play. Obee wouldn't be asked to do to much, except guard centers (instead of Jefferson doing it), Rebound and protect the lane. He can do that.

Gomes is versatile inside and out and he rebounds well as a 3. Jefferson would get to go to 4 where he wants to be, and he fits best.

Good fit.

there are 30 teams out there that would be crazy to not go after POB...

come on, the guy is a veteran cone for daily practice.

Perfect young, cheap backup for Okafor. Could even go big with POB/Okie at the 4 if you wanted. I'd make a run if I were you guys, but you'll have competition in the T-Wolves (Minnesota is his home state and T-Wolves fans have indicated that they intend to go after him). I'd rather see you guys get him.

Picture this....in a couple years our next coach is bumbling and we are still trading off our best guys and wasting picks. POB is starting and doing fine...getting better every week. Al Jeff is puting up KG type numbers ( well he almost did this year) Brewer gains 20 lb and has a shadow..Foye + Mayo are a hot quick backcourt and the T Wolves make the 8 seed....and we are #9 again. Then....I'd rather POB had gone to Charlotte. We wouldn't look quite as goofy.

yeah, I can see some of that... but I can also see this team floundering until McHale is gone. Al Jeff is a nice player (put up good stats on a bad team), but he's no KG.... so if KG couldn't do anything with that team (outside of the one conference finals appearance), how is Al Jeff going to do better?

Most likely the Wolves don't amount to anything until McHale is gone, and more likely they don't get better before getting a lot worse (grabbing another top lottery pick).
