Brian Scalabrine: The Key To Finals Success?

Post#1 » by EvadedHavoc » Thu Jun 5, 2008 2:56 am

Brian Scalabrine the man who is usually overlooked when someone talks about the celtics could perhaps be the key to the Celtics next Championship.

By time your reading this line of text your probably thinking to yourself What a Joke!! Scalabrine!? But is there really another player like him in the league?

He's athletic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVmByc3XjuM

He's intimidating: Image

He's just an all around good player: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0_4LHIGyQk

If Doc knows what he's doing expect Scalabrine at the end of the game if the C's need a clutch shooter and a leader.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear the fans at the Garden go into a "We want Scal," chant in the 1st quarter, we are all getting a little frustrated with his absence.

Scal

Seriously - what is with the lack of Scalabrine playing time? He's certainly a capable player if not an all star. When the Celtics were playing best this year, I recall Scal and House getting significant minutes. I know Sam and PJ have had their moments, but a consistent rotation with the existing players might have resulted in an even better record during the season and playoffs.

I'd be surprised if he didnt get some PT in this series.

I assume this is a joke thread? The Celtics desperately need to win the rebounding battle and Scal doesn't rebound.

Clearly this is not a joke. Scal hasn't played these playoffs specifically for the reason that he's our secret weapon, and we couldn't risk him getting injured in the earlier rounds.

Well, I was close. Pierce had the four-point play. But you know it was a direct result of...something Scal did.

Return to Boston Celtics
