Best player * 12

Post#1 » by cb4_89 » Thu Jun 5, 2008 9:30 pm

which nba player would win the player championship if they were cloned to have a roster of 12 of the same players.

For example. Lets say you were to pick Jordan, your team would look like this

C:Jordan
PF:Jordan
SF:Jordan
SG:Jordan
PG:Jordan

Bench
Jordan
Jordan
Jordan
Jordan
Jordan
Jordan
Jordan

Keep in mind they would play in a huge pool of other cloned players. Jordan woul have to play guys like Wilt *12, Magic*12, etc. All players are in their primes.

It would have to be someone quick enough to defend guards and big enough to defend centers. The player would have to be able to control the ball well as well.

Larry Bird

If you have 5 Magic out there, you need shooters to space the floor. Larry Bird is the best I believe.

Larry is a good option too.

I just think that Magic is the best for this scenario because of his ability to play all 5 positions. It wasn't like he was a piss poor outside shooter either. In the 84 finals against the Celtics, Magic was raining outside shots because the Celtics defense was too concerned with Abdul-Jabbar.

Which is why shaq would get demolished because he could never get the ball into another shaq.

I think it would have to be a small forward with extreme quickness. Someone like lebron or magic. They would have to be good passers and be good enough to defend the post and the drive along with the shot (they would keep playing other players as they advance)

I would think it would have to be a guard because a center would not be able to generate any offense without getting jacked repeatedly. (Unless it's a center with especially good handles.) For that reason, I also think ability to defend in the post is at less of a premium.

It also depends on whether the game is full court or one-on-one half court. If it's full court, ball handling becomes that much more important. If it's half court, then the rules are quite different. If it's winner's ball, the three point shot becomes less important, especially if you count baskets as one a piece.

With that said, I'll take either Jordan or Magic as my all-time player. I'll take Kobe as my current player.

Who needs handles? if you're a 7 foot centre, just space out and make high passes up the court..a 6 foot 7 guy isn't going to deter you. Then you post up deep and get a dunk on every possession. On defense, play zone and nothing goes near the paint.

LeBron, because of his ability to defend all 5 positions and the fact that he is an elite scorer and distributor and can shoot from distance as well as score from the post. Jordan, KG, Magic, Bird, and Oscar Robertson are all good choices as well.

2004 version of Kevin Garnett would be pretty good in a scenario like this.

All time I'd probably take one of MJ, Magic or Bird.

That doesn't work.

Red Auerbach would run bigs against smalls in scrimmage, and the smalls would win every time.

I'd go with Magic too. Magic could shoot, drive, or use his sky hook in the post. Today, I'd have to go with KG.

Michael. There is two sides to the game. 5 MJ's could slow some of these guys down a little, even Magic and Bird, but they couldn't slow him down.

Magic team would be really poor on the defensive end and LeBron's defense is really underrated so it's easily LBJ.

He would average 20 alley-oops per game.

Half of the opponent team's players would be fouled out.

It would be the craziest transition team ever.
