I dont particularly care for either team but since the NBA final is on, we might as well discuss it. I'm going with the Celtics. Atleast the Celtics are old, man these lakers can contend for the title for the next 10 years. That's just unfair.

I hate Paul Pierce but I love KG. I don't really hate the Lakers (in fact, I rather admire them), but the love and fawning they receive from the national media pisses me off, so that pushes me towards Boston.

Hmm. Don't care about any of the players on either team. Don't care for any of their fans(especially Boston and everything NE).

Don't care for either coach. Don't care for Stern's clever ploy to try and relive glory days.

Having said that, I'll go with the team that doesn't have a player who has publically thrown his team under the bus only to recently refer to them as "brothers" like the overrated douchebag he is.

Go Boston(ugh).
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

This matchup isn't boring like the Spurs and Pistons matchup.

+1

What I want to know is why I can't seem to dislike Kobe in spite of his being one of the biggest douches in the NBA.

Still, Celtics for KG and Cassell, in spite of Boston fans.

Also, to whoever else, considering Kobe wasn't convicted, it's a bit hard to call him a criminal.

As an avid basketball fan, I think that this matchup is a good one and good for the game overall although I don't particulary like either team. KG was always one of my favorite players until this year. It must have something to do with the fact that I grew up despising the Celtics and thus that makes it very hard for me to root for a guy I have supported from day one. Crazy but true. Then you have the Lakers. I respect Kobe, but have never really been a fan of him for various reasons. T this point, I don't think I care one way or the other so I'm just going to watch it, hope it goes 7 games, and hope to see some great team basketball and invidual perfromances by the superstars.

Voted for the 3rd option by the way.

Go Celtics!

They snapped our 22 game win streak, but saying your streak had to be snapped by the eventual NBA champions isin't so bad

Plus I cannot cheer for Kobe/Fisher/Phil Jackson...any remnants of the Lakers 3peat team I will forever hold a grudge against

Return to Houston Rockets
