If the game was on today, he wouldn't play, but there's a great chance he'll play in game 2.

I'm scared. Listening to Pierce talk, sounds like he's in a lot of pain. He said he's not having an MRI until after the season because he doesn't want to know what's wrong. He's just going to play if he feels he can.
"I have conflicted feelings right now. I mean its great and all, and no way I'd change it, but does anyone else kinda feel that we got luckier than we deserved to get? It almost feels like we're the benefactor of some NBA conspiracy."

Pierce is a beast though, he will never admit being in a lot of pain. I'm just saying, he's not right. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a tear and will have surgery after the series.

I must say Kobe is making it harder and harder to not at least respect him, he says all the right things and says them the right way.
Did you watch the conference after the game? The guy was arrogant as hell. He gave no credit whatsoever to our defense, the misses were all open shots...Can`t stand the guy!

Back on Paul, what did he tell you this morning?
"Well, he didn't have to tell me a lot. I talked to him, though, and just watching him walk, you can see he's -- it's tender, it's still, it's swollen a little bit. You know, no structural damage, which is good news."
He had a test?
"Yeah, so pretty much in that way we're good."
Did Paul have to go to the hospital or anything else last night to get a further checkup?
"I actually don't know the answer to that question. Our team doctor is here. We have all the gadgets here as far as I know. I'm assuming we do. So I don't know if he had to or not. I never asked the question."
I feel optimistic after reading this...

I know, that's exactly what I thought. "Everything he missed was bunnies"
Ridiculous.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

I was watching NBA tv today and around 1:00 they interviewed Doc and he said Paul was moving MUCH BETTER today.
Doc also said, as of right now, he was more concerned with Perkins. He did say they would both play tommorrow night, however.
As far as Phil Jackson is concerned, what is he crazy for calling Pierce like he did?!
Wasn't Jersey yapping a couple years ago when Paul had 2 points in the first half.... only to have Paul drop 40+ in the second half. Go ahead, piss him off Phil. Ya big dummie!

If Pierce's knee turns out to be disappointing, the reason will surely be swelling. Swelling would be what actually limits his use of it. And he's obviously tough enough to play through terrible pain.
Hopefully, he can use it 3 hours at a time up to 6 times and have the swelling go down enough each time to play again. But I wouldn't be shocked if he had trouble going Tuesday (only 2 days rest, and the rest is interrupted by a trip).
