A Game 2 Win Would Be Huge...

If we win game 2, even if we dropped 3 in LA...we could still have a chance. And the best part is, we could probably steal one out there.

If I'm the Celtic players, I'm going all out for game 2...

what do you guys think?

I predict (and have predicted this since before the Finals start) we win games 1 and 2, drop 3, win either 4 or 5 in LA, and close this **** out in 6.

I like this scenario.

Of course, it depends on winning Game 2.

I think we've got our **** together more now than we did in Game 2 against Detroit.

OBVIOUSLY game 2 would be HUGE Mr. OP!

If Boston loses game 2, then the momentum could completely shift to the Lakers because their Role-players playing really well at home and possible that Boston doesn't come back to Boston for another game.

I believe the Game 2 winner will ultimately win the series.

Yes game 2 is HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEE if you can go into LA 2-0 you have the series under control, LA knows this though so we have to be at the top of our games.

I can tell you right off the bat I, and I'm sure everyone else on here agrees, don't think he'll be 100%. The pain of running he can probably gut out...jumping and cutting will hurt him and limit his effectiveness. I think he *will* be effective shooting, playing some good D, etc, and especially his leadership, but he won't be 100%. Still, it's better to have a 50-80% Pierce on the floor than off it!

We need this win, it'd be a pretty bad situation going into LA tied 1-1, and having to play there three times, while going there up 2-0 would be a huge advantage. Every game should be looked at as a must win, though.

It's huge, but the Laker's need it more than we do. 1-1, OK, it sucks to lose homecourt, but we proved in Detroit that we overcome that, but 2-0 that Laker's have a huge hole to dig themselves out of. That said, when it comes to going all out I don't think there will be a let down from either side until the trophy is won. As for the Laker's having all the momentum if they get game 2, that's just a crock. It'd be a 5 games series from there, and both teams know it.

As I've said before, every smarmy, sarcastic Laker fan that stops by with this crap will make it that much sweeter if we win. As for your premise, we went into Detroit 1-1, and won in 6. If the Lakers are better than Detroit, it's not by much, now that series was a physical grind. These aren't junior high school players, these are resilient pros on both sides of the ball, and momentum shifts from moment to moment constantly. You really think being tied 1-1 is that big of an advantage?

All we gotta do is remember the 1985 Finals...C's won Game 1 at home by 34 points....lost Game 2...and Lost the series 4-2 to the Lakers......YES, the next game is HUGE to us.

I'm looking for the celtics to win in 5. I'll give the Lakers one due to Paul's knee. They've played 3 times so far this year and the Celtics won all of them. Despite Gasol, I saw nothing much new last night - The Celtics know how to shut Kobe down and he's too much of an arrogant ball hot to give it up when it's crunch time. IMO.

In any case, the Lakers now have to win 4 of 6 to take the series.
