Today has been a pretty piss poor day for the economy... what sucks is that early this week there were legit signs that the worst might be over and then a bombshell came today and everything is falling apart.

Pardon the term but there is a difference between being knocked down(recession) and being knocked out(Depression). I don't believe our economy will be knocked out.

I know it's like one year early for me to think about colleges (well not really, senior next year, might as well start thinking about it now. and all, but how is Fairleigh Dickinson?

Im looking at affordable D1 track schools with a nice social life. You already know Im from the suburbs of NYC and I dont want to leave this type of place. Is Teaneck suitable for that?

I have other choices for colleges right now that I can get into and get a scholarship in, but I put it down to mainly 4 right now.

NYU, St. Francis, Adelphi, and FDU.

Let me know about Teaneck bro and let me burn that SAT in October lol.

And for Zen, Im sorry to hear about that my man. I m 17 and still searchin for a job for the summer...Ahhhhh...I hate the real life already...School makes ish look simple.

this may sound stupid, but..

I have a desktop cpu that is connected to broadband internet through a modem. I am gonna buy a wireless router and a network card for a laptop, but have a question on how everything will connect.

Would it be possible to keep the desktop PC connected to the modem I have now (so I wont have to buy a wireless card for it), and have wireless internet throughout the house with the router and the card for the laptop? Or will it be required to buy two cards (one for the laptop and one for the pc)?

btw, does this cpu need a wireless card to connect online? Just the router? Sorry I dont know anything about this. lol

Kno, if its an ethernet modem that you have right now, you can keep the desktop connected to it and then have a wireless router connected along with it to preovide WI-FI for your laptop, provided your laptop has an inbuilt wireless adapter. Or else you'll have to buy one similar to this.



you can also go the other way around and buy wireless cards for both your desktop and laptop so that both of them receive internet through the router.

I'd recommend getting a router and keep your PC connected to the ethernet LAN that you have right now and connect your laptop with wireless.

I actually live in the next town over, and I don't go there too often, so I can't say too much about it. For a North Jersey suburb, it's pretty busy. Not the quiet kind of town you see in Garden State, I don't think that's Teaneck.

I'm going to visit FDU for the first time in a few days to pick up some books at their library, so I'll give you a better idea in a couple days. I could also ask some people who I know go there.

Anyways, Teaneck is like 30 minutes by bus from Port Authority, so if you miss NYC, it's just a stone's throw away.

If I see some pretty girls at FDU I will take pictures of them and run away and post them for you on the inter-net.

Well - just got layed off today. Weird. Worked for this company for almost 5 years but have to say it feels like it was for the best.

I've been feeling like it was time for a change for some time. Now there's no question about it.

Holy crap, it's supposed to be 97 degrees and humid today. What the hell? How is it that ever since I moved to New Jersey we've always been near record highs and never averages? What's the point in having averages if we're living in the new global warming era?

Ironically, I just finished this movie called "The Last Winter" because it has Ron Pearlman and the cover looked decent. It's supposed to be scary. It's not. It's the most heavy-handed propaganda for global warming I've ever seen. It didn't have time to be scary, because every opportunity, some character goes off on a five-minute monologue on some global warming issue. The scary part is supposed to be that there are ghosts in the oil, which makes as much sense as it sounds. At first it comes off as madness or psychological, then you see actual buffalo ghosts knocking planes into cabins to maim people.

An Inconvenient Truth was much scarier and entertaining.
