The 2008 Olympics in Beijing is only a couple months away. Just a fun poll to see who everyone will be cheering for.

Got to go national pride here.
Go Australia go. Really glad we miss the USA in our pool.
We have a decent team this year hoping we challenge for a medal this year.
Got alot of good teams to go through though.

USA by default, but I'd like to see Argentina do well.

So who is going to be on the team?

Well definatly not big well known talent but we'll probably be sending one our more talented teams in a while.
These are the players named for some of our matches leading up to the Olympics.
Chris ANSTEY / Centre / 213cm / Melbourne Tigers
David BARLOW / Guard / 205cm / Melbourne Tigers
CJ BRUTON / Guard / 188cm / Brisbane Bullets
James HARVEY / Guard / 196cm / Gold Coast Blaze
Wade HELLIWELL / Centre / 213cm / Nuova Sebastiani (Italy)
Russell HINDER /Forward / 208cm / Sydney Kings
Joe INGLES / Guard / 203cm / South Dragons
Luke KENDALL / Guard / 193cm / Sydney Kings
Darnell MEE / Guard / 198cm / Cairns Taipans
Patrick MILLS / Guard / 181cm / St. Mary's College Gaels (USA)
Brad NEWLEY / Guard / 198cm / Panionios (Greece)
Matthew NIELSEN / Forward / 209cm / Lietuvos Rytas (Lithuania)
Andrew OGILVY / Centre / 210cm / Vanderbilt University Commodores (USA)
Shawn REDHAGE / Forward / 203cm / Perth Wildcats
Damien RYAN / Guard / 193cm / Gruppo Triboldi (Italy)
Glen SAVILLE / Guard / 197cm / Sydney Kings
Mark WORTHINGTON / Forward / 202cm / Sydney Kings

We should have plenty of depth up front and plenty of depth at point guard.
Some big time NBL players in there too, Shawn Redhage and Mark Worthington were really high on the MVP voting

Bogut is waiting for his contract to be finalised before joining the boomers but when he gets here for the olympics we'll have even more depth up front too.
You can add David Anderson from europe and maybe Jawai depending on whether he gets back from his draft workouts.
In which case i'd say Ogilvy or Helliwell will be left of the side

If Canada doesn't qualify (which is very likely) i'll be cheering for either Spain or Australia.
