Derek Fisher easy. Calming presence, clutch jumpers, flops for fouls & charges.

Then again fisher doesn't complain to refs... much. Gasol just for being so damn soft.

Kobe

Post#24 » by Brett43 » Sun Jun 8, 2008 2:52 am

Kobe.

Aside from the fact that he cheats on his hot wife, Kobe think's he can do it on his own and this is reflected in his ball hog play. He still hasn't figured out he needs a sidekick. He probably thinks Shaq was his sidekick, while I always saw it the other way around. As good as Kobe is at basketball, he is not as good as he thinks he is.

But I would be annoyed by Kobe even if he had the personality of Paul Pierce. This because I can't stand the fawning media attention that he gets. Nobody else except "King" Lebron James is so over-hyped.

But the Truth will be revealed in this series.

Kobe Bryant. He thinks hes the most unstoppable player, which is why he either shoots questionable and unecessary 20ft fadaways when the lane is wide open, drives the ball aggressively on 3 defenders and gets stripped, or plays overrated defense and gets **** on by the opposing player.

Gasol is a distant second, for he loves being soft and always complains whenever he doesn't get his phantom calls. I mean, how many times can he throw up "weenie" shots and make that pathetic face to the refs?

Meh. I don't find Kobe annoying. Yes he has HUGE ego - but so do all the NBA stars.

Kobe is actually trying to find his "leadership" angle much like Pierce had too. Paul is in a great situation as he still gets to play to his "jokester" personality and yet occasionally get all "tough" on the team. I think that's cause KG has got his back as an intense enforcer kind of character..

It's not HIS fault the media overhypes him.. Likewise it's not Pierce's fault that he was compared to Willis Reed or called a Faker.

I said it before - the gap between a guy like Kobe and Pierce is MUCH smaller then the media would have you believe. He isn't Jordan. Jordan really was a class above any other 2 guard in the game.

As a side note - how come Ray Allen doesn't go to the press conferences or Rondo or like Powe tonight?

Yeah if there was an award for contesting calls kobe would win hands down.

But I'm not so sure Phil Jackson doesnt deserve this award.
