If You Say It Fast Enough, It Sounds Easy ...

Post#1 » by JohnVancouver » Sun Jun 8, 2008 2:26 am

From another message board ...

"

everyone knows, whenever a team like the suns win a tough game, it is called 'experience', yet when we lose, its 'phoenix is too old'. this offseason we have perfect oppotunities to get younger, i think we could easily end up with 3 of the top 5 picks, rose, beasley or O.J. Mayo

diaw and barbosa to chicago for hinrich and beasley, hinrich and piatkowski for O.J. mayo from NY and maybe end up with stephon marbury, then send stephon marbury to miami for rose, as well as stephon marbury sign a couple of non drafted players to send up to miami with marbury, that way our roster would look like this, this obviously clears alot of cap space so then we can sign arenas. i havent included skinner in this list, i prefer skinner to marks but i think marks is the better player, and this last season hes shown it in the last game of the regular season against portland (16 points, 13 rebounds in 30 minutes)

C:Shaq
PF:STAT
SF:Hill
SG:Arenas
PG:Nash
6:Bell
7:Beasley
8:Rose
9:Mayo
10:Tucker
11:Strawberry
12:Giricek
IR1:15th pick
IR2:48th pick
IR3:Marks

you could change round a couple of positions there, but if you look at that that has taken the average age of the suns down alot, looking at that team i doubt we'd win the trophy next season, but the season afterwards we would be right at the top"

Holy crap what a joke thread. I hope you're ready to get SLAYED for that CHI deal. They'd look hard at that deal for Wade, and you think they'd give Hinrich for those two, let alone throw in Beasley?

Your purple and orange goggles are too strong on this my friend...

Wait and I just saw we signed Arenas somehow despite having Shaq, Amare and Nash taking up most of the cap

Wow captain. Calm down for a moment. I think if anything happens, you will see a trade to get another draft pick and that is about it. Hopefully Diaw or barbs can land us a pick and or a SG so Bell can come off the bench.

However, we do need speed. Barbs has always been a stud with that back door cut, same with marion.

However, I would love to have Mayo on this team. I like his game, skills, and is extreamly talented. I think he is an upgrade over barbs too. But don't see it happening. The guys too good.

Maybe the most ridiculous trade was Hinrich and Piatkowski for OJ Mayo...:D

If Kerr could pull this one off he would be the GM of the decade.

I didn't write this, I posted it for general amusement.

--- Hey, I had nothing to do with losing the Grizz. *I* counselled them to go after Nash and Yao, both doable then and would have guaranteed sellouts for the last dozen+ years, but did they listen ....

This was from either the Republic or Tribune, from the comments thread following the Porter hiring. My favourite was Marbury for Wade ...
I'd like to see what the salary for this would be, even if it were somehow doable. Sarver's head would explode.

FIX: Sorry, that was Marbury for Rose ... did we end up with Wade, too? Can't see why not ...

What if they threw in an unprotected first? Or do you think we'd need to get two future firsts?
