I thought about this, Dallas however was not known for their defense. They were also a couple of screwup plays from winning 1 or 2 of those games in Miami (Josh Howard calling the bad time out comes to mind).

The Lakers don't have Antoine.

But we simply took care of business win game 3 and we can start getting cocky.

I agree with the premise of this thread (don't get complacent) but we're not Dallas.

Dallas' main guy is also Dirk Nowitzki...

Enough said.

Mark Cuban controlled Avery Johnson too much.

I agree PP talked about in the press conference. They have to ATTACK in game 3. But it's easier said the done. Roleplayers don't play as well on the road. The refs will start making home cooking calls for the Lakers. And you have to believe the league wants this to go 7..

Going home grantees us NOTHING, it's just 3 games we have to figure out how to win.

I don't know if they want 7 but they sure as hell don't want another sweep.

FBI agents are probably out there especially after the Bill Donaghey (spelling?) deal.

I agree, seems that they won't have it any other way. As far as the "home cooking calls", I doubt it hell we've been screwed in Staples more then you guys think,

If we blew them out out, I don't think we would have a chance in game 3. Now our guys will be alert.

And I strongly agree with the OP. The way hometeams got calls during this playoffs we can't expect to get a win on the road, unless we're staying 100% focused and won't let the refs impact our game.

the celtics aren't dallas and before miami did it it only happened two other times. They need to take it one game at a time and not look ahead. Lakers will be pumped for game three, celtics need to stay close at the start and not let it get to out of hand for sure farmar, vujacic and maybe odom will play better home.

Only 3 teams have come back to win the NBA Finals when they've been down 0-2, and one of those teams was the 1969 Boston Celtics who beat the LA Lakers.

Those only so and so stats mean little. Different teams played at different times in a different playoff format..

More then that I hate them because it just kind of sets up the other team as doing something dramatic. Just remember the Red Sox came down from 0-3. Its not over till it's over - always.

I'd like to see PP go to the basket more.

He has driven to the hoop less this year than in past years. My take during the regular season is that he's a little bit older now and knows that his body can't take the pounding for 100+ games, so I figured he was saving up his patented slashes for the playoffs.

I fully expected to see more of the old Paul Pierce emerge this postseason. He's had two great games against L.A., but a lot of it has been outside shooting, especially the 3 pointers. But he is our best slasher. I want to see that game.

If PP takes 15 drives to the hoop in Game 3, and can draw fouls along with finishing, then I really like our chances. Pair that with Leon or Perk 3 feet from the basket, waiting for passes after their defenders sag off them. L.A. would be in big trouble.

Game 3 might be tough, but I do see us winning at least one of these L.A. games.
