I didn't see good ole Fatoine in a while, and I'm not sure if it was him or someone else but I'm pretty damn sure it was him.

He is a true Boston fan.

Yeah, he was sitting with ortiz.

Chatted it up with SAS, and Bynum during the halftime. Shared some kind words with Posey right before the 2nd half.

The crowd reacted very well to antoine.

I game him two standing ovations last night and it seemed like the rest of the crowd did also.

You know it's KILLING Antoine to not be on the C's when they are working on bringing #17 home. He's a CELTIC and always will be. You know he's rooting for us.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

I thought it was cool to see him next to Big Papi there. It would've been hilarious if he took off his shirt and had a number 8 jersey on.

Exactly! That's the reason I love Toine. He was one of the few who wore the Celtic green proudly even in our down years.

Exactly. All he ever wanted was to win in Boston. The guy bleeds green hardcore. For all of his flaws and faults, it cannot be denied he gave 200% to the Celtics on and off the floor and did it all to try and help them win. While I know he's rooting for us and happy for us, especially Paul, I know he wishes with all his heart he was coming off the bench for us. I wish he was, too. We should sign him today and give him Cassell's spot.

I never liked Antoine Walker that much, but he was the star of Celtics for me the longest time. Back in my younger days I collected trading cards and was a major stat geek, so I always feared the stars of each teams, and Walker was a true Celtic threat.

Once Pierce joined Celtics, I remember NBA Live series, in a season or two, matching Pierce with Walker. Good times, Celts looked like they'd become the next dominant team in the league. Who knew that it would take so long for them to get to this point, with Pierce as one of the few remaining members.

And yeah, Walker is a Celtic for life. You can't be in Boston Celtics for 8 years and not have these banners above affect you.

Say what you want about Antoine the guy bled green. He always played here with passion and always loved the team and the city.

Yes he has his faults. And no... I don't want to bring him back. But because of the above despite any of his flaws I can't help but like the guy even if he sometimes infuriated me as a player.

Cmon Walker could be decent in limited minutes off the bench next season.
I'm sure he would be down for retiring in green.

Regardless of all of this, at the end of Antoine's career, I'd like to see him be able to sign a 1-day contract so he can retire a Celtic.

Yes on both counts. Antoine as a 7th man off the bench behind Posey or with a second unit with Powe, Posey, and House could be very nice.

Who here woudln't rather have Antoine coming off the bench instead of Cassell?

I would, actually. 'Toine would, you know, pass the ball to the open man and stuff.

Antoine was sitting right near me. (I was behind the Celtics bench) Sitting next to him was a cute girl, then Ortiz and Millar, some other cute girl, some random guy, and then finally, at the end of the row, there was this autistic/special needs girl who was TOTALLY into the Celtics. She got in the face of Farmar, it was classic!

It was cool, when Paul was shooting those important ft's at the end of the game, I looked over at Antoine, he was totally in the moment, obviously hoping the best for his friend.

p.s. there were a TON of celebrities in the audience...
