I don't see really how he's making any excuses. Marquis is a pitcher that gets into trouble often, and he did in this game as well. I'm sure Marquis would agree with him.

He's just frustrated that the Cards have pretty much sucked this season and they have to strain their necks to look up in the division at the first place Brewers. 8)
