I think Kobe has been put on a pedestal that people don't actually look at. The idea that his defense is what sets him apart is simply ridiculous. It only matters if he really is playing great defense, and he hasn't done that in quite a while.
Give LeBron Gasol, Fisher, Bynum, Phil Jackson, and the rest of the players on the Lakers and there is now way that this is even a series right now.
LeBron is far more dominant, has been a better team players since he stepped into the league, and does more by himself then Kobe has. He also took his team to the finals through the team that beat Kobe even when he had Shaq.
LeBron is so under-appreciated right now because of the Kobe era it's a bit disheartening.

I'm pissed off that Brewer and co. playing a lot "cleaner" D on Kobe got called for every breath he took on Kobe, while they let guys like Bowen and Posey, not only grab, but pull shove and smack Kobe all around without a call. If they'd call our series that way, we'd definatelly won, and that's what pissed me off, not Kobe or the Lakers, as they aren't the ones to blame or hate for that.
Kobe BTW, is NO DOUBT the best player there is. We saw it live 3 times, and the way he basically took apart SA without the FTs (9 total FTA in the series I think) was legendary. It's a shame some of you are so hatefull toward him that you lose out on what is a great player. It's just like with Jordan. Sure I hated losing to that "bum", but when it was all said and done, you had to sit down and say: "Damn, it's just not fair, he's that good".
BTW, I dislike these Celtics more that the Lakers. LA actually developed a team (that got better when adding Gasol of course), but the Celtics basically just bought their team. Only Gasol is "new" to the Lakers (and he came mid-season because of Bynum's injury), while almost all of the Celtics are new to Boston (this season). I think Boston got their the cheap way, while LA, actually developed a team (that was benefited with Gasol, but the rest have been up and comming for a while) just like we are doing. In that sense, I want LA to win. That and the fact that it makes us look even better (to only lose to the Champs two years in a row).
