Wizards accept. This is to continue shedding salaries for the 2009 offseason. Every one of these contracts will be off the books next year.

The Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings have agreed to a blockbuster trade, which will be official after the draft when JHo's BYC and KMart's PPP expire. KMart will still have a BYC at that point and this takes that into account. As this is after the draft, next season's salary's are being used.

Dallas sends:

SF Josh Howard 10.4M
SF Brian Scalabrine 3.2M
Cc Johan Petro 1.9M

Total: 15.5M

Dallas receives:

SG Kevin Martin 9.2M
PF Kenny Thomas 7.9M

Total: 17.1M [15.5 x1.25 = 19.38 > 17.1]

Sacramento sends:

SG Kevin Martin 4.6M [due to BYC]
PF Kenny Thomas 7.9M

Total: 12.5M

Sacramento receives:

SF Josh Howard 10.4M
SF Brian Scalabrine 3.2M
Cc Johan Petro 1.9M

Total: 15.5 [12.5 x 1.25 = 15.63 > 15.5]

Dallas accepts. Really really sad to see Josh Howard leave but we feel that he will benefit from a change in scenery. We are very excited by the addition of Kevin Martin and the pile of dung to our roster.

I accept.

I want to wish Kevin Martin well in the next chapter of his young career,
at this time the Kings are happy to have a young and talented player in Josh Howard, together teaming up with Ben Gordon will create a good
young nucleus that will bring excitment Back to Sacramento and it's fans.

This trade can't work. KMart is PPP and his outgoing should be 1,808,400 for the Kings whereas his incoming for the Mavericks should be 1,808,400 + salaries of his next 5 years (based on his extension) / 6.

and PLEASE use the actual salary figures instead of rounded ones. Rounded ones can sometimes make salaries work whereas the actual figures might not. aSo just to make sure there is cop out, please put actual figures in.

Well they did say it would take place after the PPP and BYC expire, but they should have to wait until next season "starts".

Also, they have used Kenny Thomas's salary as 7.9 whereas in reality it is $8,562,500 for next year (since they have wisely choosen to use next year's salary) as well, since Kenny Thomas has an ETO, they really can't decide to use the next year's salaries since the league hasn't decided if he'll be opting out or not.

Alright guys to end the controversy, June 20th (fingers crossed) will be the date that FA begins. On June 20th, next year's salaries will begin to be used and all PPPs/BYCs will expire.

After much deliberation and thought, the New Orleans Hornets have decided not to accept their part of the 11 team trade. We realized that we were paying a steep price and also were helping the other teams in our conference get better.

Joking, we accept. Although we do raise a few eyebrows at the package some other teams got in the multi-team trade.
