Hi guys, I'm a detroit fan and I was wanting to get your perspective on this trade proposal.
Prince/Rasheed/ #29/ Minnesota's '09 2ND rounder
4
Gerald Wallace/ Okafor (S&T)
This may have to be done with 2 seperate deals (I don't know the restrictions on sign and trades)
You guys have proabably discussed this or something similar, I haven't checked your boards. I apologize for the redundancy if thats the case.
Thoughts???
Prince/Rasheed/picks 4 Wallace/Okafor S&T??????

That just is not fair value for Charlotte. Look at the #'s:
Crash 19.4 pts 6 reb 3.5 asst
Prince 13.2 pts 4.9 reb 3.3 assts
Okafor 13.8 pts 10.7 reb 1.7 blks
Wallace 12.7 pts 6.6 reb 1.7 blks
Both Charlotte players have outperformed both Detroit players. Throw in the fact that Sheed is late in his career and not so with Crash and Okafor, then giving only #29 and MINN's 09 2nd is not sufficient value. To get Charlotte's attention, you would have to talk Stuckey in the deal, and I dont see Detroit giving Stuckey in the deal.

Thanks for the input/homework. Stats are inportant, but can interpreted from several directions. No doubt your guys hold higher value in the fantasy ranks. Prince/Wallace are on a more balanced/established team. Which means their stats will suffer a little.
Nevertheless, I love G-Wall and would love to see him in a Detroit Uni, which you guys prolly wouldb't be too excited about

I think Prince for Crash is almost fair... with more shots and with a team with worse boarding, I could see Prince equalling Crash's production while playing better defense.
But Rasheed for Okafor is terrible. He's nowhere close to the rebounder, he manages to score less efficiently on fewer shots, and he's EIGHT years older. Within a year or two we get nothing out of him.
So... is a very late first worth that? I would have to say no.
