3 favorite players..
who are your 3 favorite players, and why?..
I'll give mine..
1-Tim Duncan..my favorite player since I started watching, back in 1998..I've always loved his game, and more importantly, his great team play..plays elite defense, one of the most unselfish players of all-time, great leader, winner..
2-Kevin Garnett..basically the same reasons as Duncan..the NBA would be even better if you had guys like these 2, who put the team 1st and don't have an ego..
3-Vince Carter..surprise pick, considering the first 2 guys..I was living in Canada early in the decade, which is part of the reason..the most entertaining player I've ever see, nobody is even on his level..another reason I like him is for the unwarranted criticism he receives so often, even though he has shed some of that reputation in recent years(mostly the injury rep)..I love that he's a team player and one of the most unselfish guys on the court..I thought he got a bad rap for the Raptors incident, and their management barely got any blame for it..

I'll give mine in reverse order for the suspense factor. haha
This list is composed of current players and not old school ballers.
3.) Vince - Being from Toronto i gotta give Vince credit for really giving our franchise a face and a name. He really got me into basketball with his showmanship on the court. I'll never forget him winning that dunk contest.
2.) Kobe - Resilient. Epitomizes what a winner is. Killer instinct, determination, consistency. Aside from all the BS surrounding his alleged rape case and his personality (or lack thereof) he is the greatest baller of the past 10 years, hands down.
1.) Shaq - I just love the big Aristotle. It's amazing to see an athlete of his caliber keep it real with his humor and great personality. Not to mention that he has been the most dominant center that the game has ever seen.

"A particular shot or way of moving the ball can be a player's personal signature, but efficiency of performance is what wins the game for the team."

past:
Starks: loved his passion and sometimes out of control play.
Sprewell: same reasons as Starks. And of course those explosive dunks.
Jordan: greateast ever.
present:
I don't really have a favourite players today. Maybe Nash, Kobe and Paul are the ones I like watching the most.
And Ginobili just because I never thought someone from here would be that good and achieve that much.

Kevin Garnett- Goes way back to when I really first started watching the NBA, loved his intensity, he was the first rookie I really followed from the start of his career closely, i loved that he was just a kid in the NBA but he was so good.
Chris Paul- He's my guy on my team, but I loved him in college anyway, and thought he would be the best PG in the NBA before long, and vowed to never be a Hornets fan, no matter how long they stayed in NO, if they didn't grab this guy.
3rd place is a tie with Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant, again, guys I followed since they were really young.
If you can't tell, a common link between all 4 of these guys is that they wake up in the morning and piss intensity.

Byron has him watching Spurs tape, learning from Manu, Tony and Timmay.
