I think someone can mention Felton, without being pointed to the Felton thread. If not, I imagine our board will be very tidy next season, with about three misc. topics and a 1,352 page Felton thread.

the problem is that no one can mention felton in relation to okafor's shot attempts without you turning the thread into 3 pages of stuff we've all heard 1000 times. you shouldnt have to take the bait every single time while derailing one topic into a different direction. and if you just cant resist taking the bait, which you obviously cant, then i will continue to insist that the discussion take place in the felton thread (or in the okafor thread, it doesnt matter the me) and if that results in a tidy board with 3 topics and a 1000 page felton thread... so be it.

There was no bait. It was one person who probably isn't on one side or the other asking how outside factors could affect Okafor's play, and I explained it to him.
I did not write an entire post about Felton being the sole reason for Okafor not having a great year, I listed all the factors, which include our other poor PGs, and Vincent wanting to play him at PF more than C, and playing around with his minutes, etc.
When one of the factors is Okafor not receiving enough shots, I don't see how the PGs can't be mentioned, especially considering there was an article posted about how Vincent was telling his PGs to get the ball to Okafor more, and they still weren't doing it.
This thread wasn't derailed into a Felton discussion anymore than it was derailed into a Vincent discussion when I mentioned him.
If a three-page argument springs up about Felton, in a thread that doesn't have anything to do with Felton, then pull those links and pretty-colored words out.
Otherwise, don't post a page full of Felton thread links just because his name happened to be mentioned.
