I feel like most that the odds are going to be against Boston in this one, but we are the better team. If we play defense like we have and can keep LA from getting a lot of momentum and getting hot with their jumpers that we have a good shot. We'll see, but I'm not going to worry about the refs. They'll no doubt favor LA, but we should be able to overcome it. If we win tonight the series is basically ours, the players need to know this and finish them off.

I voted no, simply because I have to believe that the Lakers are better than what they have shown, though I expect a close game.

I disagree with this idea that Chief Triangle is winning calls with the crap he is pulling. There is an art to trying to get the officials to work some your way and generally it involves some hinting and some humility. But instead of talking about specific plays or even players he is basically saying that because some guy whose name he doesn't know got more FT's than his team the officials sucked. Compare that with how Popovich handled what happened with Barry and depending on who gets the assignment they may shove it right up Phil and Kobe's...uhm nose.

I think then Zen master knows he is in some serious trouble and is looking to lay the yoga mat down for his fall.

Why is this so funny?? Pierce is putting up the same numbers with better % in game one he played 9 minutes less than bryant and still matched his numbers.

^^It's funny because he wants to have Kobe's baby. He's upset Kobe didn't bend *HIM* over a chair and take what he wanted in Colorado...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Unless a different Lakers team shows up than the one we saw in game one and two we win - even with a Laker assist from the officials.

If we go in there and the refs start nut hugging the Lakers we within reason should beat the **** out of the Lakers so they can't walk for the next 2 games and we'll get 1 of the next 2 games...just nothing cheap.....just within the rules....they're soft.....Red style.....make the fouls real man fouls, nothing soft....final fouls. We want it, they don't.......bottom line...... 8)

Kefa so well put. Perk, PJ, and Posey have to know the situation and there just can't be any touch fouls. Then maybe they will look for the path of least resistance.

I said yes.

At the outset of the series, I thought the Celtics would win, but it'd be close (i.e. a hard fought 6 or 7 games). But after watching games 1 and 2, I'm starting to think that although LA is a great team, they really just don't match up very well against us. Even the best teams have their weaknesses, and it just seems like all their weaknesses happen to be in areas the Celtics are particularly adept at exploiting. And conversely, the things the Celtics struggle with (which seems to be very athletic teams, e.g. Hawks/Bobcats) LA doesn't seem to really do.

I hope so, but I don't see us having a shot at winning Game 3. Phil's complaining is going to get them a ton of calls and the Lakers are going to come out firing.

I just hope to keep it close so I don't take too much crap from the local fans.

Good timing that Cassell can't play, Rondo has a much better time getting the ball to Leon. I'm sure House will be better with the 2nd unit too.
The bench is going get them the lead.

We still our normal strong contrubution from the big 3.
