It's funny when Wilbon is like, "Just watch. Lakers will get all the calls in game 3." I could live with that IF the Cs become a passive jump-shooting team, and the Lakers take it to the hoop, but Wilbon's statement just underscores what a joke NBA officiating has become.

The road has not been friendly to us and home court advantage in the playoffs is huge. I'd be happy to steal one game in LA so we don't fall behind in the series and we only need to win 1 of 2 back at home.

This is why the 2-3-2 format is bull. If teams simply hold serve on their home floors, it is inexcusable that the team with home court advantage should have to go in to game 6 TRAILING in the series. Games 5 and 7, the two most important of the series, should be on the home court advantage team's floor, PERIOD. And don't give me all that BS about travel, East Coast-West Coast, etc. These guys travel on **** private jets, luxury coach buses, stay in super nice hotels, etc.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

2-3-2 favors us because it's not that easy to win 3 games in a row, even if those games are at home. It doesn't matter what the format is, home court is home court. Besides, it was Red's suggestion that changed the format to 2-3-2. That's good enough for me.

I'm all for... 3-3-1 with the only nights off being after game 3 and game 6. Perfect format IMO.

I think it will be near IMPOSSIBLE to win game three. The analysts, the league and the refs will ALL BE rooting for the Lakers. After a win the Lakers will go back to their supremely egotistical selves..

The C's would have to win by a 'real world" 30 point victory to beat the Lakers.. That's how many bias points I expect the Lakers to get..

So game four is the one to steal - before LA "ties" the series and gets all full of themselves. You win either 3 or 4 and we pretty much have this series in the bag, IMHO.

In game five, the Lakers Fans will start talking about how great Magic, Worthy and Kareem were.

I believe the game will be similar to the regular season game in Los Angeles between the teams. That one was extremely physical.

The Laker coach is going to be stressing aggressiveness for the next two days. So look for hard hitting early, and maybe someone might go Odom.

But, the Celtics are better at the muscle game than the Lakers and this should give them the edge. There's a good chance for Boston to take game 3.

We might as well suit up Scal and Pollard b/c we ain't winning game 3. For my money game 4 is the big one. I actually hope Salvatore is reffing game 3 might as well get him out of the way in a game we aren't going to get.

to tough to tell. we need garnett to be aggresive and for ray to continue to hit shots.. the refs will be in makeup mode so thats going to suck.. i dunno though, i think if we can keep it close and come out hard in the 3rd we may steal it.. we need to win game 3 or 4 though because i really dont want them to get momentum. the la bench will me much better in la and our bench may stuggle. if i am doc though i may try a little big baby if leon cant duplicate. i think the lakers will have a better idea of leon powe and they will make things hard for him.. but really at the end of the day, if we play defense and dont get stupid techs and just play hard and together like the game earlier in la, we should be ok. sometimes its harder to play at home than the road and the one thing we did well as a team all year was play together on the road.. here is hoping to game 6 detroit- like victory!

Also, watch Pau Gasol tonight. He's going to be the key to the rest of the series. IF we are forced to shift any serious attention to him, then we have issues. If I'm Doc, I have KG attack Pau every time he touches the ball. Get him in foul trouble and you have a huge advantage.

Since there is high suspicion that the game might be called real tight tonight, I wouldn't be opposed to throwing a curve ball and trying to play pheonix style basketball. I think we need to put ourselves in a position where it will be hard for officials to affect the outcome of the game.

Yeah, the refs are going to douche us bigtime tonight, but we've been getting better each series, so I expect us to play well.

Its simple force the refs to make a call. In the beginning of the game I have a feeling that the refs will be putting the whistle in their pocket when we have the ball. So instead of doing what LA did and bitch about everything, we need to just shut the hell up and drive until the ref realizes who is more aggressive. Force the refs to call it, I cant stress that any more. LA had trouble doing this, resorting to few foul shot attempts. They rarely drove the lane. This is why the refs gave Leon a break, and are whole team in general. We were the aggressors not LA.

and one thing I don't understand, is LA should be the last team to complain about fouls. Anyone recall the Utah series?
