Chubby Chaser wrote:I really liked when Phil put Turiaf in the lineup. It gave us a legit shot blocker and he was able to muscle up and push garnet out of the paint. Which was one of the reasons why Garnet had a bad start. I wouldn't mind seeing more Turiaf on KG or Turiaf on Perkins. Perkins is a punk. Someone needs to check their so called "bad boy."

He also had zero rebounds and zero points in 19 minutes. Frankly, Garnett's offense is the last thing we need to worry about right now. He's shooting horrendously. We need to figure out how to get Gasol and especially Odom on track.

need to keep kg out of the post, or hope boston continues to not put him in the post, because he is not hitting his shots

KG is taking himself out of the post. He's been doing it for 13 years. He makes moves like he did last night where he took Gasol off the dribble and nearly dunked in his face, and you wonder why he wastes time shooting 20 foot fadeaways. But invariably, no matter how much success he has in the paint, that's where he's going to end up. It's his game.

thats good for the lakers i guess

pierce won't have that bad a game again, but the laker defense has been playing well this series, but odom or gasol (preferably both) need to step up and join the series

also why doesn't gasol do anything when he gets the ball in the post, he'll just throw it back out, he made on great move in the second half, and i'm wondering why he can't do that more

he made some moves in boston in game 2 :dontknow:

To me it looks like Pau is tired... He wasn't jumping at all during game 3 and didn't seem like he could elevate at all. I hope it's nothing more than fatigue but it really looked like his legs were shot...

I think the key to Gasol being effective inside, is Odom being able to penetrate. I think last night clearly showed that. When Odom drives, many times Gasol is left alone. Odom needs to attack and dish like he did throughout the play-offs...

He just said that for Spanish media, he is feeling tired in this postseason, i dont really know why, everyone has played the same games that he did, he will need to work that out for next season.

Maybe he needs to change from his vegan diest and eat like a real man.

Perhaps he can take on the Kobe diet and eat babies.

not a good time to be tired for gasol, he needs to play like a man. we wont win another game if he continues to score 9 points.

Are you serious?!!?! Did we really pick up a Vegan as our post presence?

I'd never heard that before but that does explain quite a bit...

So here's the next big what if???

What if Gasol works on his strength this off-season and bulks up?

Does it help his game or hurt? I mean he can hang with the KGs of the world because of his length and speed but if he bulks up too much, would he still fit as a PF to Bynums C?

Then again, I can't remember the last time in this post season, Gasol has hit a face-up Jumper, so maybe the idea of him playing PF is out the window anyway?

I'm really not liking the way we're playing. I shouldn't have to feel like we stole one at home, but that's the impression I have based on last night's game. Gasol and Odom really need to step up. PJ should call more pick-and-rolls with Gasol picking for Kobe at the top of the key. That's been the most effective play they've run all series, but they don't do it nearly enough.

How long will it take for Lamar to learn to drive into the lane and not commit an offensive foul? He's been in foul trouble all series long, got outplayed by Lean Powe and every quarter he gets in, it automatically puts us in the penalty.

If dude can't freaking shoot, at least take it to the rim properly.

Yeah it was an exaggeration (What was he? 1-7 outside arm's-length?), but you have to admit that his field-goal percentage goes way down 3 feet away from the basket. It just makes me wonder about our plan to have him at 4 with Bynum at C.

I'm not saying it won't work like West, but I wonder how effective it will actually be?
