Doc Lets "Phil-the-Whiner" Have It!

Post#1 » by heyjohnny » Wed Jun 11, 2008 5:08 am

Finally! Here is a Doc Rivers quote after the game tonight.

Rachael Nichols : "Doc, Phil was just in here and he thought Kevin Garnett ran out of gas, what do you think about that?"

Doc: "Well, I'm just surprised he didn't whine about fouls tonight......I told the team that I don't want to hear about Coach Jackson complaining, and that's why[they lost].

Say what you will, but Doc is coaching right now. Screw this loss. He is pushing the right buttons. People will be loving him when this trophy comes home.

Phil will not be greater in this case.
Did you see Kobe crying to the Ref's tonight again? He even got another technical for crying!
Phil has no control over Kobe, which once again like vs. Detroit, will be the Lakers downfall.
Celtics will crush LA in one of the next two games, if not both.

Oh please, Boston has no chance when we're at our best like we were tonight. In terms of effort anyway. Allen won't play that well every game, nor will we struggle from the line like we did.

KG and Pierce will play better, but so will Pau and Lamar at some point. One of them, if not both, is due for a 17-20 point game.

If thats the best the Lakers can do then all i have to say is Celtics in 5.

Game 3 was the worse game the Celtics played in a minute and Ray couldve single handedly beaten the Lakers if it wasnt for a certain Head Coach.

Anyways cant wait for game 4!

It is one thing I do love about Rivers. He has class and integrity and he won't compromise it no matter what. You have to respect that of any human being.

So getting away with murder when the C's drive, getting bailed out by the refs, Sasha's aberration 20-pt game, a horrible game from Pierce and Garnett, and *STILL* nearly getting beaten on your home floor and not being in control of the win until the final 30 seconds despite Kobe getting every call and going off for 30 is your "best"???

Man, y'all have got problems...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Between he and Powe, Powe is the real one hit wonder. Sasha has actually played well throughout the playoffs. Besides, if Pau and Lamar show up, not to mention us making our free throws, Sasha won't HAVE to play that well.

Read the next sentence. "in terms of effort anyway"

LOL Are u serious?? Your teams intro sucked, your crowd sucked, and if that is the best effort your guys are going to put out, well then enjoy being the runners up. Was not impressed at all with the Lakers effort

lol, OUR intro sucked? Your team has played that same crap throughout the playoffs with the KG's psycho ass screaming.

Again, I'm talking effort, not their actual performance. How hard you work doesn't always= a win. But if we had played like that in the first two games we'd be the ones up 2-1.

^^Your intro seriously was more of a Celtics tribute. There were more shots of old-time Celtic players and Celtic highlights than anything pertaining to the Lakers until you got to 2000 or so. But I guess getting your asses whupped in the "rivalry" over the last 50 years will do that to you. What, no footage of Jerry West crying like a girl in the 1960s was available??

16 to 9 baby, 16 to 9... 8)

Again, you obviously aren't excited enough about the win to stay on the Lakers board, you need to come here to troll, loser.

^^^Are you kidding?? If you played like that in games 1 and 2 the league would have called the series off due to the mercy rule you would have gotten smoked so bad, and be down 3-0. Bad offense except for Kobe and Sasha, NO D (Celtics played stupid offense and missed shots), and 87 points...the Lakers arguably played their WORST game of the series last night...but so did the Celtics!
